Just reading that Harry Pell has been charged with kicking the balls into the away supporters of MK dons. He did this on purpose at least 3 times when we played there. i hope that he is given a very long ban.

I remember watching him doing that at the game myself.
It’s one thing a fan getting hit by a wayward ball during the game or in the pre match shooting drills, accidents can happen but to deliberately boot a ball at fans is disgusting. It only takes a ball to hit a child or someone who isn’t looking for a second and there could be a bad injury to a fan occur
As a club they should reprimand him, I wouldn’t want an employee of mine acting in such a manner
He’s always been a horrible person - the sort that dishes out sly kicks and elbows when the ref isn’t looking but then squeals like a baby and bangs the turf with his hand the moment anyone touches him. I remember a game here a few years ago when he played for Cheltenham. He was on the ground in the far corner screaming and trying to get one of our players sent off even though nothing had happened. Luckily the ref didn’t buy it. After the game, I was waiting at the stop to get the bus home when one of their fans came up and said “I see Harry was up to his tricks again”. He obviously thought I was a home fan. I pointed to my shirt and then told him exactly what I thought of Mr Pell. He shut up after that! :-)

As a minimum there should be a fine and some kind of ban. I imagine it comes under the heading of violent conduct which normally carries a three-game ban. Violent conduct bans can even be implemented when against inanimate objects. The FA usually view such incidents more harshly when supporters are involved due to the potential of causing serious crowd disturbances. A more extreme example was Cantona's leap into the crowd at Crystal Palace which carried a lengthy ban and criminal prosecution. I don't think Pell's actions should be viewed as seriously as Cantona's (even though the provocation on Cantona was pretty severe), because he didn't actually leap in and personally assault someone, but it could fall under the umbrella of an assault charge if someone were to complain about the ball hitting them and they were injured. I reckon it will end up as an FA fine, compatible with the earnings of a lower league player, a 3-5 match ban, and a warning as to future conduct. Part of the punishment may be suspended. If anyone was injured and complains, there might additionally be a look at criminal prosecution: this would possibly depend upon severity of injury.
