It is not clear from announcement whether tickets can be ordered over phone/email this week as a lot of people work during week and office hours are short. See no reason why renewals can be done over phone, and new ones by sending applications by email like last year. I got mine Saturday, but good luck to others trying this week.
Although a season ticket holder at Crawley, I go to Horsham and Dorking occasionally. Now I am old enough to qualify for a concession ticket at Crawley, I find myself in the position that it is more expensive to watch Dorking or Horsham! Smaller teams obviously don't have TV money or rich owners to fund them, but interesting position. Costs of Dorking and Horsham below:
Dorking (NLS) has been quite expensive last few years, and only give a small discount for over 60s. A whopping £275 for concessions season ticket as opposed to £299 adult (early bird prices now expired). Last year match day prices were £16 for concessions, £18 for adults.
Horsham (Isthmian Premier) concessions only apply at age 65, so an adult season ticket is £220, and match day £14 (or £13 if buy in advance).
Is anyone else in a similar position when they go to local games?
I agree that Wagmi has done well by keeping ticket prices down but behind the scenes we are badly under resourced. Still no CEO Still no main sponsor. Still no Commercial manager. It looks like work still hasn’t started on the pitch. Most clubs began the Monday after the season finished. Now Preston has taken a step back who is going to be the public face of the club. Who is dealing with players contracts and who is talking to new players and their agents. Don’t get me wrong it’s fantastic that we’re now a league one club but behind the scenes we’re very non league and tinpot. There’s a lot to be sorted out but I can’t wait for the new season.
Yes I believe it has been said that behind the scenes, they only have five full time staff. Hopefully they will employ a few more, improve the computer ticket system and most of the things you mention.
When I bought my season ticket on Saturday, the general manager, Tom Allman was taking payment for the kit purchases. A job he wouldn't have to do it they had more staff.
I to am really looking forward to playing in League one even though it has potential to be a hard season. In Scott we trust!

Looking at remarks on the forum overall the one thing the club can improve on is communication, sometimes their messages create more questions than they answer, they would do well to think more like a diversity of fans. Some of the questions re Wembley tickets for example were missed and again we see this with season tickets. I also personally feel why not break down the figures a little more and be helpful and informative, such as how many West Stand, East stand tickets remain for sale not just we sold 'x' number so far, even if that's on basis assuming all STH renew which I guess we probably will have a 95% plus renewal rate, again what was renewal rate last season etc.
I'm not bothered or convened a CEO would make much difference, my main concern above is who fills Preston's shoes (assuming that's not a CEO!). I believe the commercial side of thigs will fall into place there are only so many clubs at this level. I thought I had seen a picture might have been Twitter where the pitch is getting ready with diggers and so on. Maybe SL is more directly involved with contracts and that wouldn't be a bad thing IMHO.
I had a look out of the window on Saturday afternoon while waiting for a picture with the trophy and it looked like there was quite a bit of earth shifting machinery parked in front of the terracing at the away end. I’m not sure when their last home game was this season but last season we finished our matches 3-4 weeks before the Tesco Bag ladies, who were still playing at the end of May.

Although it seems minor, the website is the public face of the club. Ordinarily, I am not a grammar nazi, but better proofreading would be good. It does have it's humorous side though, such as when reference was made to a 150' screen rather than 150" (that's 150 feet rather than 150 inches). I mentioned it on here and it was later corrected, so I imagine some of the staff read this forum. I'm only concerned about the writing and layout on the club's official site and on its literature. Informal media such as this forum are not an issue

Yes, I did wonder about that website layout, as I have seen similar for other clubs. It looks like they work to same/similar templates. The proofreading sometimes goes wonky, though.
They haven't updated the playing squad last time I looked. The released players are still on there - and they still have the wrong squad number for Ben Gladwin. He was 7 all season, but you wouldn't know it from the website.

Visiting on Monday I noticed a huge pile of sand behind the away stand. No idea what is was to be used for, maybe for the pitch? plenty of kit available in the shop if you require XXL or a play off final scarf but little else.
