Rumour going around that we’re close to signing an out of contract player George Lloyd from Cheltenham Town.
Going to check the name now on the internet as don’t know much about him other than he was at Grimsby on loan for a bit recently.
Report was from a respected journalist with existing long standing connections to Cheltenham FC.
We’ll soon find out if it’s BS or not I suppose.
Not sure he is only 5 ft 8 and has poor scoring record, unless recruitment team have noticed some data they think they can work with like they did with Orsi.
Well we thought we were onto a sure fire winner when we signed L2 top scorer Dom Telford and thought we'd signed a dud when we signed Orsi from grimsby who only scored 5 goals in the last 2 seasons and we know which one turned out best.

Now hearing it’s Shrewsbury and not us. I guess the silly season has started in the close season already.
Yes, I’ve heard that from a former work colleague so who knows? She did say his scoring record isn’t great but he works really hard and wins lots of headers for a small bloke.

I gave up long ago taking any notice of fans’ reactions to any player we sign. I prefer to wait and see the guy play a few games before trying to judge.
The home crowds will increase, as some of those bigger teams will result in sell outs I reckon, like Birmingham, Charlton etc.
Should be an amazing season !
Yes, I expect the average attendance will be over 4000 this year with teams like Reading, Orient, Wrexham, Bolton and Huddersfield, also bringing a big away support. A lot of teams will also not played us for a while or at all, so we will be a new ground to visit for many fans.
I also expect the home support to increase, as some of the first timers who went to Wembley may return for a few games, and I also expect season ticket sales to be higher when they are eventually released.

I hope some of the newbies from Wembley come to watch the league matches but if we are struggling then watch them disappear. You only have to look at what happened when we went to Old Trafford 10,000 but not many became long term fans.
