Having attempted again to get the collectors ticket situation resolved with Ticketmaster and quoting relevant legislation regarding point of sale etc I have received the following response:-
Hi Trevor,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Were apologising for this matter. Upon double checking it, we can see that you purchased tickets to Ticketmaster Sports which in behalf of Ticketmaster UK we only handling the ticketing site however, they would need to contact their Club Ticket Office which is the Sky Bet LEAGUE TWO EFL.
I'm sorry that we can't help you further with this, but if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. Sincerely, Engeline Grace G Ticketmaster Fan Support
In a nutshell it would seem that they are washing their hands of this even though they have sold the item and taken money for it
I have googled Ticketmaster souvenir / collectors ticket problems online and it would appear that this is a problem across many events / concerts where tickets either never arrive or take weeks to surface
Nice little earner at £7.45 a time and a complete rip off
I'm the sort of bloke who would post them a (very cheap) bar of soap to wash their hands with, along with a scathing letter. I would also contact the relevant government body (trading standards?). Their parent company was recently heavily fined in the USA over misusing their near monopoly to provide poor service and charge excessive fees. I started a thread about this several weeks back.
Yes very poor service by Ticketmaster. I notice the person you are dealing with has poor English and grammar and blames Ticketmaster Sports but then tells you to contact your club!
Looking at Bolton, Oxford and Crewe's website they all promote these tickets and have a picture of the personalised club ticket on their website (See link to Bolton's article below). I could not find any such article on Crawley's website. Did you see a picture of the ticket on Ticketmaster's website?
My fear is for whatever reason, Crawley did not have time to approve these tickets so they were not produced (hopefully Crawley/EFL may be able to advise on this when they deal with your query).
If this is the case, due to a fault with their system or total incompetence, Ticketmaster may then have sold a product which they could not supply, in which case you obviously should be entitled to a full refund as Paul says.
May also be an idea to make Mark Dunford at Crawley Observer aware? He may be able to investigate. Ticketmaster should not get away with conning fans and possibly even committing fraud? I have no legal training but that what it possibly seems like to me.

For fraud you would need to prove intent, I think, and this looks more like cock-up than conspiracy. At some point a threat to take them to the small claims court might motivate them into action - you don't actually have to go through with it. This might have a time limit though.
For anyone interested please see hereunder a reply which has been received from EFL regarding the Collectors / Souvenir tickets:-
Hello Trevor
Thank you for your e-mail, we appreciate you getting in touch.
All matters relating to the purchase of tickets for the Play-Off Finals, would be a matter to raise with the Club in the first instance to find out what their position is. Whilst some Clubs use their own ticketing platforms, other Clubs utilise sites such as ticketmaster to host their sales, especially for the ones with higher demand such as finals. Whilst Ticketmaster facilitated the sale, this will have been organised by Crawley Town and they may be able to provide some further information on the ‘collector tickets’
If you have any issues getting in touch with the Club please let us know and we may be able to assist.
Thank you for contacting the EFL.
Kind Regards
Danny

As, has been suggested by other forum members it looks like CTFC may be the issue here
I will await there reply also and post when received

No one wants to take responsibility. Didn't think they would. No one wants to help either. Par for the course. EFL are utterly hopeless. Ticketbastard are, well, it's all in the name.
Ultimately though someone be it CTFC, EFL, Ticketmaster or whoever has got everyone’s money whom purchased a collectors / souvenir ticket
If just 10% of the 16,000 Crawley attendees purchased a souvenir ticket at checkout @ £7.45 that’s £12K that’s potentially in someone’s pocket and looks like no product will be dropping through anyone’s letterbox anytime soon
Can confirm I have reached out to Ticketmaster on this as it was a ‘product’ that was their responsibility to fulfil.
I’ve seen online myself that a few have been struggling so am hoping to have a response asap of which the club will then communicate.
Thanks for the continued support.

Maybe Ticketmaster are still reeling from their parent company having their databases hacked a couple of weeks ago with, allegedly, the details of up to 500 million accounts being compromised? I wonder if they have paid the ransom to stop those details being passed on so need to recoup some money?

Glad to see Tom Allman has got involved with this. Hopefully will be resolved soon.
Having passed on EFL & CTFC responses to Ticketmaster I have now received the following response
Hi Trevor,
Thanks for your email.
This has been escalated to our complaints team for further investigation - we may need to get in touch with the venue, promoter or other departments so it can take a bit longer to look into.
We will aim to get back to you sooner wherever we can but please allow up to 21 working days for a final response
Thank you for your patience while we look into this for you - we'll be back in touch with a response as soon as possible. Sincerely, Engeline Grace G Ticketmaster Fan Support
Thanks Burns47 for pushing this forward, I am pleased that Tom is involved as he will have more influence than any of us with individual complaints, the one concern is that he feels that " a few" are having problems I havent heard that anyone has actually received their collector tickets.
If anyone has knowledge of individuals actually receiving tickets it would be useful to know if this is a 100% failure from Ticketmaster or if it really is just a few of us missing out.
