I’m new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help
When purchasing tickets for the League 2 Play off final via Ticketmaster there was an option to add a collector ticket to your booking for £7.45, including postage - for which you would receive a plastic credit card-sized ticket personalised to the tickets you purchase, along with a lanyard to keep and treasure as a memento of the event which would be received post the event
I duly purchased the said extra for the match tickets purchased and having had a great day out at the final and a fantastic result we wee looking forward to receiving the collector tickets
However, as 3 weeks have passed since the game and no receipt of any collectors tokens to date I contacted Ticketmaster to enquire as to when these would be received and further to exchange of several emails wherein I had to provide booking reference, evidence of purchase etc and a screenshot of a bank statement I have received a final reply from Ticketmaster stating that I need to reach out to Sky bet EFL League Two to see where the collectors tickets are !
As the said extras were purchased from Ticketmaster and they have charged myself for these I am somewhat at a loss as to why I would need to reach out to others and more importantly how
As circa 16,000 Crawley fans attended the game this would mean that Ticketmaster have pocketed approx £120K for a product they cannot provide if everyone attending purchased collector tickets … or was I the only one
Would be interested to know if anyone else purchased collector tickets and if they have received them

My son also ordered one of these but so far nothing has arrived.
Was unable to go to final myself, but looking at other finalists sites (Bolton, Oxford, Crewe) they all mentioned this option on their website. Crewe also gave you an option to buy from Club after game.
Had a quick look on the relevant fans forums but could not find anything to indicate any other team's fans were having problem, so may only be Crawley fans with issue.
Did you mention you were Crawley fan when dealing with Ticketmaster? In first instance I would give the Crawley ticket office a ring to see if they are aware of issue, but depending what they say may have to go back to Ticketmaster as they sold the option to you. You can email club too but may take longer to get response.
May be also worth mentioning to Crawley Town Supporters Association as this issue seems to be affecting a few fans. No one has mentioned received one yet
This is the email I received from Ticketmaster after confirming the email confirmation received at time of booking, the booking reference, last 4 digits of credit card used etc and also providing a screenshot of bank statement which showed monies taken by Ticketmaster :-
Hi Trevor,
Thanks for your email.
Kindly reach out to Sky bet LEAGUE TWO EFL.
For about when you receive those collector ticket of yours.
I'm sorry that we can't help you further with this, but if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. Sincerely, Engeline Grace G Ticketmaster Fan Support
Unbelievable response really as Ticketmaster offered the souvenir tickets and took payment for them and now appear to be washing their hands that it’s anything to do with them
Yes, i would also email the EFL at enquiries@efl.com as it is their competition and they probably have a contract with ticketmaster.
Ultimately, as you say, it is Ticketmaster's responsibility. They should either provide you with the collectors ticket or if they can't provide you with the product they sold you they should refund you.
I have had problems with Ticketmaster before during Covid with a trip to USA. Everyone else refunded quickly, but I had to continuously push and complain to ticketmaster before they agreed to refund my baseball tickets eventhough the baseball season had been cancelled for the year with no start date. I would send them an official complaint asking for your collectors ticket as sold, or a refund and say you have also mentioned this to Crawley and EFL . Good luck
Obviously I am not a lawyer, but my (mis?)understanding is that the retailer, i.e. the one who took your money, is the responsible party. It looks to be synonymous with when you buy something in a shop that turns out to be faulty and the shop tries to fob you off to the manufacturer. It is the shop that must bear responsibility. In this instance I would regard Ticketmaster as the shop, though the law *may* disagree. If you research the relevant legislation and quote it to Ticketmaster in an email, that might help.
Having attempted again to get the collectors ticket situation resolved with Ticketmaster and quoting relevant legislation regarding point of sale etc I have received the following response:-
Hi Trevor,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Were apologising for this matter. Upon double checking it, we can see that you purchased tickets to Ticketmaster Sports which in behalf of Ticketmaster UK we only handling the ticketing site however, they would need to contact their Club Ticket Office which is the Sky Bet LEAGUE TWO EFL.

In a nutshell it would seem that they are washing their hands of this even though they have sold the item and taken money for it
I have googled Ticketmaster souvenir / collectors ticket problems online and it would appear that this is a problem across many events / concerts where tickets either never arrive or take weeks to surface
Nice little earner at £7.45 a time and a complete rip off

That’s shockingly poor and worth bearing in mind when we get to Wembley next season.
But for the sake of £14.90 ( 2no. Souvenir tickets) not really sure I’ve got the time nor the inclination to take it any further ………… however, assume that’s what they hope I suppose
Another example of a large corporation treading on the little people and robbing them ( Post Office v Alan Bates)……..
Will be interesting to see if either the EFL or CTFC have anything to say, but not holding my breath
