To be fair, we could do a lot worse than King, however, the thing that worries me most is he has never managed in the football league before.
Precisely. Drummy hadn't managed in the FL before, or even non-league, and it showed. King might do ok, but it would be a risk IMO. And he is like Evans, good when there is money to spend, and boy does he like to spend it. It's a concern the way he has left some clubs, and the state they have been in once he has departed. Like Alex says, we could do worse. I'm still hoping we get Hasselbaink.
Is he local? ....................... No Premier league player? ....... Yes Manager? ......................... No Is he a Coach ....................Yes (under 23 team)
Its like another DD appointment no experience in or around the league we are in. This time we are going for a name, so us fans are meant to get excited and everybody probably will. But when the dust settles, a name never guarantee you anything, we don't need another manager with no experience of managing.
Would bite your hand off for Chris Powell. Failing him, Hasselbaink would be my choice. We shall see - surely a decision has to be on it's way soon?! Time is marching on.

If the new manager is going to be Harry Kewell? How does that stack up with the owners stated wishes? He wanted someone local, who understood the club and had its interest at heart.
Powell always comes across as quite humble in TV interviews, a genuine type of character. It must be remembered that at one time he was being portrayed as the future first black England manager. Quite why it had to be dressed up like that is beyond me, but he was certainly doing a fine job at Charlton for a good while.
When you look at the mess they are in now, it could be suggested that the job he was doing then was better than what first appeared.
