The way that boring t*****r Hoddle is talking at the end of England's timid exit from the world cup (we need to get our young players playing but will they get into the PL sides ahead of De Bruyne etc) I sense the onus will move back to the lower end of the pyramid to bear the brunt of the PL desire to hoover up all the players but then have no competitive all age group to play them in, apart from this joke of a competition, ever since they themselves killed off the excellent Football Combination!

Hoddle certainly talked a load of **** - in a world of his own at timea i think and yep im in the you may have to pay me to attend this competition as the club (And others) dont tend to take it seriously so how can you expect me to.
Unfortunately it's a competition that fans (and players and managers as well it seems) only really care about if you get far. As a Southampton fan first (sorry) I can say that going to Wembley to watch Southampton win the JPT was a fantastic day out and it would be great to see Crawley go far in the competition. Having a few mates who support Portsmouth I will definitely be hoping to attend that one.
Am I right in thinking the prize money was significantly increased last year? Given the status other teams give the competition there is a chance for Crawley to go far if a strong team is played and that would go a long way to helping the Club. Based upon last year HK tended to play the fringe players in the cups so hopefully we'll see a change in approach.

This competition is the least important we are in so i would be surprised if more than a handful of 1st team players are involved in the group stage

With the size of squad we have everyone will have to be involved.
Boycott this until they remove the PL U21 sides, just the start of their bid for total domination and destroying lower level football. They killed the all ages Football Combination, let them restart that and their problem solved?!
Spurs U21s it is, I can feel a capacity crowd coming on ......
it would be good to see but doubt it somehow
Yes wonderful, more justification for the domination of our football by the super rich Premier League, a disgrace and will definitely be giving my money to charity rather than watching this.

As i said earlier Mick like you i wont be attending as again like you i don't believe this benefits anyone other than the PL boys
didn't a couple of L2 teams put out youngsters last season and got hit with a fine? I am sorry but if the U21s from Prem teams can play in the competition why can't the u21s from L1 and L2 do the same?

Fair enough. Why cant the PL just be open and honest (I know impossible) and admit their end goal is to follow Spain/Holland and ruin all footy under the top level then we can have something tangible to fight against and maybe a few of the deniers will realise the danger this all places our "proper" footy under.
