I have been waiting for the announcement and reading the news articles, I have no doubt its probably true but have you noticed they all reference the same source article. However I suppose what we get depends on how much Luton got for Cameron McGeehan (it was rumoured 750) and how much they are willing to part with. Personally I would play hardball and hold out for at least 500,000. Just how many 20 goal strikers are up for sale.

I see they have also sold the forward Marriott to Posh for a sizeable fee so lets hold out for £600k!!

He's gone gents. No sign of him in any of the preseason pictures. £250k is our lot. Selim has a lot to answer for
Just seen todays training pics and amazed we still have Tajbaksh with us. Surely anybody could see that players like him and Arthur were no way good enough for FL? Nothing against Tajbaksh and enjoyed watching him in senior cup games but that seemed a good level for him (and for several others from last season as well actually!).

As I pointed out on the contract thread there are 7 players whose contracts expire, according to the old forum, at the end of June, there has been no official announcement about any of them to date other than that Harrold and Young were made offers

Why would Selim have a lot to answer for? if Collins is leaving it certainly won't be a decision made by him alone. If it's true that ZE has actually put £1m into the club from his own pocket then he has every right to take some back out again, especially considering his bank balance is dependent on the steel business, hardly a profit making area in the last year or two. Personally I'd be surprised if the amount agreed in any possible transfer is made public anyway, which I believe is very much the norm nowadays

The owner has every right to take the money out, but it wouldnt fit well with talk of ambition, championship major infrastructure etc if he does. It was never a moneyspinner which he must have known when he took over, and it has all gone very quiet on training grounds, upgrades and the like. As for Selim, he must have pretty much total control on the football side which for somebody who came in as a marketing man with no discernible background in the football side is a bit scary? And with Bruce Talbot also resigning there will not alot of other voices at the top (from the businesses viewpoint) apart from Kelly D, which I think is also a concern?

Why? Because it's quite clear he's in charge of everything squad and football related. His title is Director of Football. He would've been doing the negotiations. Surely you must understand £250k is undervaluing our most valuable asset? 26 years old, 2 years left on contract. The club owes Mr Eren money, we could've made more from this transfer to reduce that debt.
The clubs accounts have just been published, and are available from companies house. Whilst i have not seen them i expect that they will give some clues as to why we may have to sell Collins.

Look JC is a grown man im sure he makes his own bed regardless of where his mummy and daddy live. He mustve enjoyed one his best footballing seasons ever last season. These careers are often short he isnt good enough to play beyond league one, Harry will be sacked instantly if he doesnt play JC without good reason why risk not making it elsewhere? He may stat he may go but im not liking the rumours.
With it looking likely JC will be flogged, who'd be the best and most realistic replacement for him?
For me, Andy Williams is on the transfer list at Doncaster, experienced, won promotion from this league last term and has scored goals wherever he's been. Can't imagine he'd cost the earth either.
Aside from that, I see Kgosi Ntlhe has left Stevenage. Someone who's played at a higher level with Peterborough at left back, has played pretty regularly despite being only 23 and is probably a realistic target. Would surely be an upgrade on what we have.
