My first game of the season, and fortunately, living in the north-west, it only took me 35 minutes to get home, which was probably the only positive of the day.
I get it's been a difficult week, but I was really expecting an 'us against the world' sort of performance, showing guts and desire. It didn't happen, to be honest.
You could say Palmer's awful penalty changed the game; if that goes in it is potentially a different match.
But I felt we lacked creativity and I can't remember their goalkeeper getting tested much at all, particularly in the second half.
I liked the look of AN-G, but feel he holds onto the ball far too much, but I imagine that he's still learning being a young pup. N'Gala did okay on his debut as well.
Bully had a rare off day despite the goal, passing was all over the place at times.
Really quite frustrating, because on paper we have some decent players, but it just didn't click. I'm yet to decide whether Poleon is useful or useless. He looks like he should have the tools to be a player at this level but didn't show anything going forward or tracking back.
Talk that a new man is coming in on Monday, which absolutely stinks of a lower league Jay Saunders type to me. An established manager would surely take longer to negotiate with. Let's see.

Onto Lincoln.
But surely "an established manager" means one of the serial failures doing the rounds every time a job comes up? I would have no problem giving a younger man a chance, if he was somebody who would come in a get involved with all aspects of the club which includes building some bridges with the support, encouraging and promoting the locally etc.

And that is the essence of the problem, "one of the serial failures doing the rounds every time a job comes up", the only hope is that it's 3rd/4th/5th time lucky when your new man shows up, as long as its not Mourinho we have hope .......
A big ask expecting the players to get anything from this match after the chaos at the club the last few days. With new players coming in,uncertainty amoungst the regulars and of course 2 players taking charge of the team could anyone expect a 100% performance from them today.
As for the new manager....i haven't a Scooby who the club will give it to.

A question if I may to the brave supporters who had their vaccinations and travelled to Oldham, did we play tippy tappy or was that consigned to the bin yesterday
Hi - to answer how you played, honestly? You were poor. We are a bad side (worst I`ve seen in 50 years of watching us) but you were quite a way off matching us (scoreline flattered you). The way your players rolled around clutching their heads etc. at every innocuous challenge ruined the flow of the game too. It's blatant cheating - and we saw similar from MK Dons at our place - needs stamping out by refs booking the cheats. That also has to be the lowest away following I have ever witnessed for a league game at Boundary Park - think you brought 47 - perhaps 48 if one was using the loo when I counted!

If we did that's a new one on me, but then teams that dish it out often do play the play acting card. We did have Filipe Morais getting abused by the Bury players last week after he had the temerity to show any pain after they clogged him (until he had to go off with his ankle injured from a bad tackle from behind). Didn't we have one of our coaches attacked with bricks when we went to Oldham in recent years?

Oldham away isn't high on the agenda of any football fan, is it. Similarly, I went to Boundary park when there were about 15000 there. Where have all your fans gone?

The official away support was given as 62.
Either you need to go back to school and learn to count properly or take a trip to Specsavers!!

Neither is Yeovil away on a TUESDAY night - but we still took 262 there a couple of weeks ago.
Agree about the fans deserting us. Doesn't help having Manchester City literally 6 miles from Boundary Park - and Man Utd about 12 miles away.
Highlights below. Looked a scrappy game, really poor penalty from Palmer, if the keeper is able to hold on to your penalty then you must be embarrassed. Poor defending from us, defence looked all looked over the place at times.
