From watching those highlights we have Morris to thank for stopping a rout. Three or four really good saves but what is wrong with our defence? League two sides are opening us up like they have premier league players. Serious work on the training ground required and I don't mean on how to pass it about at the back.
Ironic that generally the Port Vale fans were fairly glowing in praise of our performance there, perhaps they open both eyes? Mind the two goals we gave away looked very sloppy. But as Morais said it is pretty difficult trying to decide about subs and formations when you are in the middle of the game. I have no interest in the Mickey Mouse Cup game on Tuesday (boycott) but we definitely need something sorted for the touchline by next weekend even if we sign a manager on loan!!
Oldham away isn't high on the agenda of any football fan, is it. Similarly, I went to Boundary park when there were about 15000 there. Where have all your fans gone?
Neither is Yeovil away on a TUESDAY night - but we still took 262 there a couple of weeks ago.
Agree about the fans deserting us. Doesn't help having Manchester City literally 6 miles from Boundary Park - and Man Utd about 12 miles away.
You probably took your 262 mighty Latics fans to Yeovil on a TUESDAY night because they didn’t have jobs to go to the next day!!

In terms of personnel I'm happy enough with our defenders, they just need to be organised better, which is something Kewell didn't seem overly able to do. Hopefully a new manager will be able to address that.
As an aside, Oldham's keeper got into the EFL team of the week, which surprised me. Suppose it's mostly to do with the penalty save.

That is bizarre! He spilled Palmer’s shot for our first goal and for the penalty save the ball hardly reached him! Other than that was a bystander. Morris on the other hand was kept busy!
