Hardly experienced at the level he will now work..doubt has any contacts worthshile and seriously we mustve turned down a dozen better. We are stuck with him and it wasnt the fans choice so we can only back him in the hope he proves me wrong. I wont accept any excuses as its only the start of September. I hope the dire Kewell tactics are no long gone. If not its clear the management are puppets of the board.

God almighty, what a moaning son of a gun you are, you have no idea whatsoever who GC has in his contact book and you have no idea whatsoever who was on the list of applicants, so stop making such stupid and negative comments. You're 'stuck' with him because he is the choice of the owner, the chap who keeps 'your' club in existence, so you put up with it
Kewell is gone so his tactics have already gone to Nottinghamshire, GC was a defender so I can't see him allowing players to sod around in front of the goal putting chances on a plate for the opposition
As for your last 'point', the board, otherwise known as the owner(s), appoint a manager to do a job for the club, also known as the owner(s), if the appointee is not a puppet then he will soon be packing his bags and collecting his P45, he may have certain width within his contract but he's like any employee of any business, he does what his boss tells him to do when he tells him to do it, when you go to work do you follow your employers agenda or do you ignore your boss and do anything you want?

Quite honestly I couldn't care less how many people aren't happy, none of us will ever know who applied for the job and who didn't, so none of us will ever know the quality, or lack of quality, of the others, therefore nobody can ever claim there were applicants better suited, those who are paid to make the decisions made this one
On paper I would say no as I can't imagine he has much knowledge of this level and he doesn't seem to stay at clubs in a coaching capacity for very long. However, it's what happens on the pitch that matters most, so if he produces results and decent football then all is good and we should give him time to try and achieve that.
I have not heard of him, but he is our manager and i want him to be a huge success. There are plenty of out of work managers that i have heard off. I am glad that we have gone for a young promising coach who is trying to make a name for himself .

Agree with you TML - you made your points very well but a little bit strong in places. Rx3 certainly has robust and in many cases, unique views but he is entitled to express his opinion as he sees it. Variation of views is the strength of the Forum.
i really can't vote yes or no would i have liked an experienced manager yes - i voted for Keith Curle on my poll, however i do like the fact as a club we look outside the box for an appointment rather than to the same 10 or 20 managers that turn up at most lower league clubs throughout their managerial career
so i am a neutral on the appointment i do however wish him the very best COYR
Italian football is one of the finest schools there is. Zola must have seen something. Yes a gamble so let’s hope they get a good assistant. Someone like Mark McGhee is only down the road in Brighton
