Best performance since Wolves at home well done to all at CTFC
AN excellent 1st half of football only let down by only scoring once and I have to admit to being a bit disappointed at us not scoring more - wow how times have changed
2nd half we started ok but it was almost like we needed Newport to score to kick us back into life and kick us back into life it did we dominated a top 3 side in every area of the pitch after their goal and they may well be going home glad it was just 4-1 As could have Been much worse for them
Again good subs at the right time and we really are playing some great football
Does anyone know when we last scored 4?
For me MOM could have been anyone but I'll give my vote to Morais
4 goals, yeah its been a while. My guess its the 2011/12 season. That was a good one for us. 4-2 Cheltenham at home unless anyone knows different. Wow we could have had 5 or 6 today easily.

We put 5 past Barnsley - in our relegation season, ironically.
Well *uck me. Blown away !! What a performance today, all over the pitch, MOM could have been anyone but Payne yes 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Trust RRR is happy and will sleep well tonight.
Very happy. Play like that high tempo and commitment and we WILL make the play offs minimum. Newtport are a bunch of dirty scvmbags the red card was worst offence seen all season. Butler is a cvnt and shouldve long gone off pitch. Ref shocking lost control and gave many bizarre decisions especially Palmer virtually headbutted and the Newtport gotta freekick. My MOM was the buzzing bee Camara.forced them to play quick and often mess up. No way is he a midfielder but he played best ive seen all season by ANY reds midfielder. Tactics were spot on. Reds fans in fine voice and the 5cumbags thrashed. I'll drink to more of that. Now same again Tuesday and we can think about mounting a promotion challenge. Consistency is key now.

Kewell thrashed 4-0 by Bury the team that keep us outta play offs on GD. Ok had County (the knotted one) won wouldve helped us but feels good Kewell was battered.
Absolutely focking brilliant. Best home performance for years. First half was superb, but I was very wary of us failing to build on it and not scoring at least one more, because you just know what can happen. And sure enough, 14 minutes after the break - it did! That could have totally deflated us but the key thing was we didn’t feel sorry for ourselves and within 5 minutes were back in front which probably knocked the stuffing out of them more than them scoring had us. From here, confidence was high and we really cracked on to wrap up the points. By the end, the only disappointment was that we hadn’t added another one to really add some gloss.
Hopefully we can repeat the dose on Tuesday night, ironically, last season’s win over Exeter was one of the best of the campaign and came off the back of that defeat at Wycombe. Can we do itvaway from home? Still need to improve there, but on the basis that we’re not going to win every match, let’s keep racking up the home wins and try to gradually turn it around away from home.
Blimey Alex... do you think our Manager read our comments about Pooch being given freedom to chase everything...? He was immense but so were all of his colleagues.
More than anything we looked like a team, it had the lot.. skill, tempo, flair & cohesion... all underpinned by solid hard work.
I was just complaining about how little protection Palmer was getting, when suddenly the ref points to the spot & we never looked back, although in truth Newport had ridden their luck to take it to 1-1.
Regardless of results, this squad is turning into a real treat to watch and never give less than full value.
One player I forgot to mention who had a good game was Gambin. When he first joined I wasn’t sure of him, but he’s really improved the last couple of home games.

He's the Eden Hazard of League 2
I wouldn’t go that far 😉 but he certainly looks like a good player at this level that can make things happen.

I would go that far. What do you expect the league two version of Eden Hazard to be like. Luke Gambin is the kind of player league two defences would be scared to play against right now. Then ANG replaces him. We're so good with that.
