Best team performance for a long long time. No more needs to be said
Indeed it was. Interesting to hear Gabi say afterwards that he would like more people to come and support. They wouldn't have been disappointed today but what a shame our local radio station doesn't help. While listening to them on the drive down, the BBC Surrey news and sport headlines at 11 and 1 o'clock stated that we were playing Exeter tomorrow (ie Sunday) and Newport on Tuesday evening.
One player I forgot to mention who had a good game was Gambin. When he first joined I wasn’t sure of him, but he’s really improved the last couple of home games.
He's the Eden Hazard of League 2
A former Crawley player commented at halftime that he reminded him of Hazard, it’s not too ridiculous a suggestion, keeping everything in context.

total falmer on radio Sussex but thats BBC for you useless. All Gabby can do is get them consistently playing like today and eventually the numbers will slowly increase. Pathetic turnout from Newtport didnt help attendance...that said how many in home end?

Well Weststand Man became Eaststand Man yesterday and I have to say that the atmosphere in the East Stand was superb. Was sitting very close to the chap with the drum and next to him was a guy wearing a home shirt who would start the chants. The pair of them were excellent and my 6 year old son was singing along at times! Onto the match itself, what a performance. Scoring in the opening minute set the tone really. Deserved to be more than one in front at halftime. When they equalised I thought ‘here we go again’ but going 2-1 up so quickly helped and proved that our heads did not drop after they scored. After that, it was party time. Bring on Exeter.

Excellent team result with the added bonus of ANG being back on the pitch, personally I'm proud of my tactical awareness being the basis of this win, I didn't follow the match at all thereby not putting the mockers on CTFC, on the subject of Newport support, according to their website there were 336 away fans at the match, I rather think that "the pathetic turnout from Newtport" is being a tad unfair considering the usual number of Crawley travelling fans, yes Mr RR&R?
A nit-picking point given the fluidity of our attacks & capacity to stretch play was a feature of an excellent performance...
...but, Ollie grafts tirelessly to win his share of first ball, however he is too often isolated & lacking in options when he has done so. I would like to see a player in or around him at that point instead of running into areas where they cannot be reached.
