My first point, and I am getting a little old and short sighted...but how on gods earth is Morris kit NOT directly interfering with Exeter’s away strip? From my view they were all in the same kit.... Other than that....I thought we were very good again. Ok, didn’t get the win, but 2nd placed Exeter were shit scared of us from the off. They couldn’t deal with our midfield and that’s a plus for us. Trust me...Exeter are over the moon with that point. One break away but that was it from them.
Once again a very enjoyable and entertaining evening, really good performance and played some great football again at a good tempo. Four points from two home games against since in the top three is a good return.
Fans made it a terrific atmosphere, singing on all three sides at times! Much to be positive about at the moment, please can we extend it to our travels and get a point Saturday? Tranmere are only a point ahead of us!
Nice comments on the ECFC site, some thought we looked a division above st times....Which we did. I like Exeter.A well run club who we have faced in the cup more than once,as well as in the league more recently, I hope they get promotion as the last couple of years they have looked good. How far behind them are we?....not very I would suggest.
A good solid performance last night I thought against a well organised Exeter side. Why was Morris virtually on the halfway line at the start of the build up to their goal? We played some nice football at times and a pleasure to watch. 4 points from 6 in the last 2 games against 2 teams in the top 3, most of us would have taken that before we kicked off against Newport. Really need to start backing this up with points from away games now. Anyone know why the turnstiles didn’t open until about 7.10pm last night?
That was a very good game of football. Both teams deserve credit for that. I feel we just edged it but Camara's missed header and our defence switching off for the long ball forward means it's only a draw. Lovely goal by Morais following excellent centre forward work by Palmer.
I believe they had one off the line at the and and ANG should have scored for us so even Stevens.
Jim Baker
A good summing up. For me Payne should've stayed on as Bullman added nothing and Payne was easily MOM and our creative engine in the middle. if it was awarded on points I think youd give Reds 2 and them 1; ive not checked the table but I doubt (on that performance) Exeter concede many goals. we are still in contention though we actually slipped a position in the table we are a point off the plays off. We need draw minimum but really to edge in there a win at Tranmere Rovers. Hopefully Ian Rush no longer plays for them and our defence can do a little better this - an awful balls up for their goal but I don't want this to take the gloss off a good battling performance and for the Young critics yes he failed on a cross in injury time but hey there were far far more excellent runs and penetrations into creative play from him. A close contender for MOM. I came away entertained even though disappointed we didn't hold the lead.

Well done Reds.
We really are looking a class act.
Couldn't agree more Armchair, in the second half from the terrace it kept looking like one of their players was in goal for us!
My first game this season and what a contrast to the drab and dull football we were served up on a consistent basis by HK. That was some of the most entertaining football i have seen us play at the Broadfield since the Evans era, Notts County have done us a massive favour!
We played some of the best football i have seen a Crawley team produce, against a very good Exeter city side. Under GC we have seen big improvements in a short time, well done. When HK left i was worried but GC has worked wonders. It was difficult to pick a MoM as we are now producing a good team performance, Ollie worked tremendously hard and is building a partnership with Gambin. Continue with this style of playing and the goals will come. Why didn’t the referee make Exeter or Glenn Morrischange their strip?
Terrific game and for a neutral it would have been excellent viewing.
Before the game I would have taken a draw, but left rueing missed chances, we really should have won. But we are 8 points better off than at this point last season, and goal difference is 7 better.
Hard to pick a mom. Pooch was everywhere and it is disappointing to see him lose the ball for the Exeter goal. I thought Gambin was excellent, perhaps he is either not fit enough or ANG's recent goal record prompted the change, but as Thad mentioned we seemed to lose a bit of shape.
Palmer has my admiration. How he keeps his cool when he twice had his shirt nearly taken over his head I don't know. The second time should really have been a penalty, but he was penalised?
Morais deserves mention too. He keeps our midfield motivated and is a class player.
I am pleased that the only player I am not considering for mom is Morris - because he was underused! Speaks volumes for the defence and midfield.
One wonders how N'Gala will get back in the team at the end of his suspension , nice problem to have.
I think we can all agree that Exeter are a very good outfit... Worth mentioning a key factor in the draw... their squad..
Exeter made a couple of excellent substitutions when they needed to shake up the dynamic, stretch us & offer more up front... Stockley & in particular - their goalscorer - Holmes, who arrived just in time, to be in the right place to launch that blistering run... Spoilsports..!
First game since beginning of the season for me and what a change. Still passing from the back but difference for me is it's now with a purpose, to beat the press and find space higher up the pitch. Our own pressing to win the ball back early was also impressive especially in the second half.
Though Palmer worked his socks off, liked Maguire and thought we lost a bit down the left when he went off, Morais adds a bit of class and thought Payne's passing was excellent apart from a couple of usual "hollywood" efforts.
Have only been going to around 5-6 games a season for a good few years now but despite the dissapointment of conceding a silly equaliser, think this was the most i've enjoyed a performance in that time and will definately make an effort to get down more often.
Even thinking about a trip to the seaside for the Southend game

I think that Stockley would normally start for them and he was certainly a handful in the game at their place at the end of last season. I did see stories which suggested that there was a sickness bug in their camp and that he had been damaging the Dalton, hence the reason why he started on the bench.
I suppose it says a lot for the turnaround over the last month or so that a draw against Exeter (3rd) is almost disappointing. To be honest 4 points out of 6 in last two homes is quite satisfactory.

I thought that from the little I saw watching the highlights last night. If Exeter got any corners or free kicks, it must have been tempting to congregate round Morris and just punch the ball into the goal! How would the ref be able to distinguish between the players? :-)
