Let's face it, our away form is a real concern. And yet we won at Lincoln (and Accrington last season?!!) and yet the home form is strong. Real Jekyll and Hyde stuff. Trouble is, poor away performances put real pressure on the next home game to get a result. Hopefully things on the road will improve very soon.

I’m not sure what it is,maybe now we’ve had a streak of losses away it’s a mindset issue? Maybe these sides always feel that they’re stronger at home with their crowd similar to our Fortress.
We should just get back to basics away from home after the 5-1 thrashing against Tranmere, we just need to be a lot more solid defensively and harder to beat. We have pace and energy in the squad in ANG, 'Pooch' and Gambin to play on the break, we just need to make sure we get the basics right away from home be harder to beat.

I was saying this at the weekend, I believe it has to be a psychological issue now. One away win and hopefully that'll get the monkey off their back.

Our defence simply isnt up to enabling us to kick on to league one. The quality isnt there. It will probably be enough to keep us in league two but the owner are happy with that. That is plain and obvious.

You should be happy with that too. We won't be relegated - we're good enough to stay up, avoid a relegation battle, and be within touching distance of the play-offs. We don't have the finances to push on to L1 yet. Our crowds are too low, and Mr Eren clearly isn't as rich as you'd like him to be. Our squad is mostly L2 standard with a few better than that (Morris, Palmer, Morais) and some youngsters with a lot of potential. We could be in L2 for the next ten years and never achieve promotion. You might have a blue fit about that, but the majority of us would be happy that the club was still in business, and still in the FL.

Whatever league we are in, i always want my team to play with pride & passion.. some decent flowing quality football is a welcome bonus...
...and i am happy to tag along wherever that leads us..!

What a refreshingly sensible perspective. This is exactly where we are at the moment. There are simply not enough of us attending matches to have a long term sustainable future at a level above L2. If we manage to go up this season, next year could be horrible without serious and irresponsible spending on players. Give me two seasons as a decent L2 team playing good football any day.

but unless we improve squad quality and get results we wont get more fans in. No more fans and growth is held back.

1) we don't have the money available to sign better quality players.
2) do you really think fans will only come back to the Broadfield if the owner starts splashing the cash? Stay away fans/newbies will start coming if we are playing decent football, winning a few more matches, and above all showing 100% effort and commitment every game. We don't need to sign a bunch of new players to achieve that. It's already happening with the current squad (at home at least) since Cioffi took over. Improve our away form, maintain our home form and the play-offs are achievable.
it would be good if you could buy into that and start giving GC and the lads the support they deserve. However as your default setting is Grinch, I doubt that you will.

but its generally better quality players that can consistently produce the winning ways and decent football. Yes good coaching can get best outta players as well as facilities etc but its the skills abilities some have others dont and our defenders have limitations the best coaches in world can only go so far with them.
Ive supported Gabby and players throughout managers prescence and continue do so but lets be realistic we lack sufficient quality players defending to push on upwards in this league.
