Now those that know me I like a big brave centre forward and Cyrille in my mind was the best and is the benchmark.
Crawley have had several big centre forwards and none have been up to my benchmark, although Ollie Palmer is pretty damn close. Others such as Danny Davidson had the potential but never really fulfilled the role. What do you guys think?
Tyrone Barnett was brilliant when he played for us, strong, fast, great in the air and could finish too. Palmer is up there as well for best half a season as well!

Whats apparent to me is weve had some great players over the years and if only we had held onto them and the gteat Steve Evans we might actually be in the owners pipedream Championship now! Players like Akpan were world class. Sadly despite his ability good enough to be a league one swuad player Josh Payne probably our most skillful current player is worlds apart from players like Akpan. How times have changed.
We have had a few in the big striker role - Wes Thomas, Leon Clarke, Big John Akinde - who went on to show that they had a lot more to offer, than we may have appreciated...(?)
After posting that... others should really have gone onto better things - McCallister, Barnett, Jordan Roberts even - but never lived up to the promise, Bournemouth fans likely have Tubbsy in that bracket..!
