he has done a very good job for them I am surprised but maybe with the financial problems they may have he was to expensive to keep and he agreed to leave to help the club?

Agreed. Keeping them up last year was a good effort.
Rumour is that he hasn't been paid all summer. Obviously I Don't know the ins and outs of what goes on up there but if true you could hardly blame him for saying pay me or let me go.
He did well to keep them up last season and has had some good results this so I guess he has proved most of the naysayers wrong.

Jim Baker
15 games doesn't prove whether you are a good manager or not. He's got a long way to go to prove whether he's a good manager or not. Money does seem to be behind his departure but he knew the score when he joined. And he doesn't need to make huge financial demands on the club if he wants to use it as a stepping stone.
In many ways this Season is more difficult, the "dead cat bounce" impact of his arrival had faded & when Players get behind the club winding-up petition, it is never really a good sign.
I think he proved a lot of people wrong and will get another chance now, you don’t have to like football managers, you are not going for a beer with them
He came across as a whiny whinger a couple of years back, but he seems to have matured as a person and I hope we see him back in management in the near future. He was a decent defender who gained a lot of experience and it would be a pity if that was lost to the game.
