Well, it's all settled then, the Sun says that HK is to be confirmed as manager next week, so it's got to be true
Leeds 'supporters' have supposedly "bombarded social media in protest", the reason? he played for Galatasaray
Next week! Not sure the club website will be able to spin out the "good news" about Dannie Bulman (even though it is very good news) for another week, it is already starting to wear a bit thin getting the same quotes over again. It may impress us who know him but dont think re-signing a 38 year old midfielder is going to win over many new supporters into using that as a reason to buy a season ticket? It smacks more and more of HK being a figure head rather than a real hands on manager? Hopefully I am completely wrong, it wouldnt be the first time. Maybe (hopefully) it isnt even HK but somebody stable and a bit more experienced (Powell, Jackett? Although suspect they wouldnt want to drop to Lge 2).
There was a time Crawley fans got excited about the Signing of John Robinson... We now have potentially an ex Premier League striker and Champions League winner taking the reigns at little ol' Crawley and people are already moaning and disappointed. As a club we have a relatively low fan base, these are the kind if appointments we should be taking a risk on, it does create a buzz and gives the people of Crawley to actually take notice.
I mentioned in the pub the other day that Harry Kewell set to take over at Crawley, it created a conversation with those that are normally couldn't give a toss.
Could be a complete disaster or could turn out to be a complete success, but at the moment we are getting coverage in national & international papers, Eren said from the start of his ownership he wanted to raise the profile abroad... he is only doing what he said he was.
Red what is being said out there is he has not got the 100% commitment needed to be a manager at our leve, you only have to look into his life and see he is all over the place, next month he is in Australia and Russia for the all month then pre season starts, and Eden has not done what he said go and lisen to his press conference he said he wanted to appoint a manager that knows Crawley has Crawley in there blood and are local,he is doing none of that. Except appointing someone else who only had a managerial job at under 23 and done a poor job at that, far better options out there

I think worried is more accurate than disappointed? Probably quite rightly as it is a risk, although if it does happen people might be reassured once we are told something, such as how we fit into his seemingly many other commitments, is he going to maintain a local profile rather than just somebody we see in the tabloids or on international social media? It is probably because we are "little ol' Crawley" that some are wondering how this will all fit together. Exciting yes, but still a worry! Also as I have said before it is likely that if such a high profile person does succeed in the short term in giving us a winning team he would soon attract many suitors for his services? And if he fails we are back to square one, with lots of "I told you so's" and another new appointment to make. But I guess at least this speculation gives us something to sustain us while little or nothing is coming out of the club and maybe it is all just a smokescreen for a different appointment!??
I am hearing the hold up has been negotiating terms and conditions on the contract, but it's looking like it possibly may not happen,so we may be reverting back to someone we have already spoken to.
i feel this is a desperate move by the club and Warren Feeney has hardly filled himself with glory either, i think i would have rather kept DD quite honestly and really unsure if i will buy a season ticket as we needed an experienced head coach / manager to take us to the next level and who can also sort out what DD didnt do in the back ground

Both young and inexperienced but I assume many top managers made some mistakes and poor choices while learning their trade. If we wanted the finished article we wouldnt be able to afford them and they wouldnt come anyway. At least a few months excitement which is more than we have had over the last three years of boring sterile football. Probably still an expensive option for Ziya and so would be nice for people to at least show a bit of faith and commitment themselves rather than wishing for a return to a tedious past?
Now we know it's going to be Harry Kewell and his assistant Warren Feeny, little bit about them.......Harrys one and only managers job was Watford under 23 and That was not good, he never won a game from October to April and was consistently getting beaten by teams 8-0 and a lot of other poor results. On the back of that and his lack of commitment to the job,Watford let him go. He has an academy in Australia that's full time and at certain times has to be there, and that could cause a problem with us. I can't help think he was only given the job because of our owners, and his connection with Turkish football.(galatasaray) Then there is Warren who we all know from Newport who also did a poor job.......7 wins from 34 games, then got sacked!!!! So these are the two guys that are going to take our club forward,so where is the local guy that ziya wanted that knows the club and knows what the club means to the fans,so we get 2 men that have never even been to Crawley before apart from warren when he came with Newport FC to play us.in my opinion not a good appointment
Well done to you, you called it right on the 19 May.
