We need to get real - we are a club that are doing as expected. We would love to do better but given the calibre of the squad Yems doesn't deserve to put up with this level of criticism. How many managers have we had over the last few years and none of them has done any better - he's kept the club afloat with some astute signings and his press conferences are a joy to watch!
At beginning of season clubs target was to survive in league 2 - we are exceeding that in my mind - not pretty or always nice to watch but that's reality. I pay my money and yearn for a better style, a better team and better results and probably moan as much as anybody else - why cant we cross, where's the midfield, why no left back, where was Frost for last two games, what's up with Nicholls etc etc but at end of the day we are what we are and losing Yems would just start another meaningless cycle that would take us to back to where we are today - lets trust the guy. His passion shines through, he is committed and wants to succeed. The team try hard and do their best, we need to accept that we aren't a top league 2 team and take the good times when they come but not panic when things look a bit bleak.
The press interviews may have been funny the first couple of times but if it keeps happening there's a reason why other clubs' fans take the mickey out of us for having a manager that conducts himself like he has done on a few occasions. Plus with the squad we have compared to some other teams we shouldn't be aiming for just 22nd in the league, and with a decent manager in this league anyone can get promoted (look at Morecambe last season as well as Sutton and Harrogate this term).
