Get welsh teams outta English football. We dont have any French or Dutch teams and we dont need or want any Welsh teams. Fvck off the lot of you. Nothing but trouble just like Newtport.

I wouldn't word it that way, but as far as I am aware the only case for Welsh teams playing football in the English leagues is about history and tradition. I recall that Welsh teams used to get two shots at qualifying for the Cup Winners' Cup, but I think that loophole was closed. It happened in non-league too with Newport and Merthyr Tydfil, and probably some others. I can't rcall which side of the border Hereford is located. As far as Scotland goes, would it have ben fair to shift Berwick whenever the border moved? P.S. They're no longer at war with Russia.
Not sure about kicking the Welsh out but we definately need Celtic & Rangers in the Football League. Celtic are the biggest club in the uk, much bigger than Manchester United. All this talk about Manchester United being the biggest uk club is poppy cock. Celtic get 60,000 fans for watching 1 sided boring matches, they have 17,000 fans on the season ticket waiting list, if they played teams like Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham they would fill a 90,000 stadium easily & more. That is what needs to happen.

There is a big lack of football knowledge on this Forum. It is common knowledge north of the border that Celtic would fill a ground every week with 90,000 if they were in the Premier. The reason they are not in the Premier is because Man Utd, Liverpool & Tottenham object strongly to Celtic being allowed into the Premier every time the issue is raised by the FA . By doing this Man Utd remain the biggest club in the uk in most people's eyes. Some people are walking around with Blinkers on.
Glasgow Celtic are arguably the biggest club in the UK.
Seems unlikely that any Celtic fan would want them to join the Premier League or EFL when the default position of nearly all of them would be to leave the UK.
I, personally, would welcome the union of the leagues even if it would cause a large reorganisation of the lower league structure but would like to see the FA Cups of each nation continue.
Going back to the original post. The reported behaviour of Merthyr "fans" should be investigated and if needed punished by sanctions and fines etc but I must disagree with the idea of kicking out a whole nation/region for the behaviour of a small section of a small club.
Surely Welsh football would rather have Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham all in a welsh league as it would strengthen it. Cardiff and Swansea in particular would then become the Celtic and Rangers of Scotland. if the PL/EFL lost these clubs would it matter to them? I very much doubt anyone would care and there are plenty of large English non-league sides ready to take their place.
Firstly, I agree that full investigation should be undertaken and strong action taken against the offenders.
On the wider subject, my view is that either each country’s clubs should only be in their own national leagues and therefore each nation should have its own national team, or there should just be UK leagues, in which case there should just be a UK national team (I know - controversial).
Personally, I’d prefer only English teams to play in English leagues, Welsh teams in the Welsh leagues and Scottish teams in the Scottish leagues (and therefore Berwick Rangers should play in the English leagues).
However, whilst I like separate national teams, I do wonder how a UK team would have done in various World Cups with the likes of Best, Giggs, Bale etc in them.

Main issue is that the Welsh Premier League was only formed in 1992 (before then Welsh clubs would all play in the English league due to it being historically harder for clubs from the south to travel to the north than it was to go over the border), and all of the teams in it are part time, so if Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham were to move to it from the English league they would be winning every game by at least 7 goals apart from when they play each other, as the gap between them and the WPL clubs on and off the pitch is substantial (as big as Crawley's is to say Redhill, Horley and Oakwood, or Brighton with Chichester, Haywards Heath and Whitehawk), so there would be absolutely no benefit financially or sporting wise for the big Welsh clubs to join the Welsh Premier League.
Personally I'd much rather see these clubs in the Football League than the vanity project teams that only boast of a few blokes and a couple of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as their fans (such as Forest Green Rovers, Salford City and Fleetwood Town).

I can see your point but I think if it were to happen the money it would generate will eventually move things closer to levelling up. Also I would expect the Welsh FA would find a way of pumping money into the part-timers to attempt levelling up.

To make it viable they would have to try and make money from sponsorships and broadcasting deals which is then invested into bringing the clubs currently in the Welsh Premier League up to a professional standard. That would take a few years at least unless they were to adopt a franchise model, which definitely won't be very popular.
If this hypothetical scenario was to happen the clubs I'd like to see put in the EFL/National League would be a mix of historic league clubs with large fanbases (e.g. Notts County, Grimsby, Chesterfield) and non-league clubs that have worked their way up through good management on and off the pitch rather than financial doping (like Bromley, Borehamwood, Dulwich Hamlet and Worthing). Personally though I think the current system with the Welsh clubs is fine as it is, only change I'd make is promote 3 clubs from NL and relegate 3 from L2.
Also, what league would Chester play in? As their pitch is in Wales but the club entrance and offices are in England
Excellent point re Chester. Quite unique circumstances. I would be very concerned if 3 were relegated from L2, having 1 less has kept quite a few clubs up over previous years and I think Crawley would be looking over their shoulder all the more.
