Best Performance of the season.
It does make you think What If? What If? What If?
What if Lynch had started a couple more games?
What if our 3rd best goal taker Francomb had played in Midfield all season?
What if we had used this formation more this season?
Am still not convinced with Yems, but hopefully he is seeing the light now. Add Tunnicliffe & Tsaroulla to this starting XI and you can all see Top7 is possible.
Brisbane Road seems to be the only away ground in which we do well at, is there any chance we can play all our away games there please?
A very impressive result indeed, and very nice that the team responded so quickly to the goal conceded too, a huge contrast to what has happened in the last couple of months often when we have lost leads. Morris must be the most relieved man in London this evening
We need to make sure we don't drop points vs Oldham Athletic next week though if this result is to really count
I wasn't at the game (as trying to save up money to fund university) but going by the twitter feed Leyton Orient sounded like a really dirty team, and pretty sure they will be fined afterwards for getting 8 yellow cards (including the two Pratley got right at the end)
4 points out of 6 from this away double header, absolutely would have taken that at the start of the week, maybe the longer break after the Mansfield debacle has helped in some way
Also bear in mind we had a few of our better players unavailable today too (Hessenthaler, Tsaroulla, Tunnicliffe)
Three at the back will definitely be the way to go when Tunnicliffe returns, also it means Davies, Ferry and Tsaroulla can focus more on their attacking qualities, which I feel they are better at
I've also noticed that we are now closer in points to the playoffs than in the relegation zone (with a game in hand on a lot of teams too). I still don't think we'll be anywhere near the playoffs but it's good to put more of a buffer away from the current bottom two, who I would be very surprised if it isn't those two clubs that drop out of the Football League at the end of the season

Oh, the oracle ( mark 13 "mitty, w"), has spoken...joke.

Yeh so we’re not sacking Yems this week then? Do you think we can park discussions of that nature for a while because I don’t think they add to interesting discussion about how our football is developing at the moment

Do not get carried away with 1 good performance Steve. Think of all the points Yems has cost this club already this season.
Any other manager would NOT have taken 12 months to realize Francomb is best in Midfield and young Davies would always do a good job in defense or midfield. A few of us have been begging him to play Francomb in Midfield for 12 months. We have had Josh Wright, Powell, Tilly, Maguire Drew, Matthews, Hess all Trotting around passing sideways for 12 months in Midfield, and they all only score 1 goal in 15 matches. With Francomb in Midfield you will get 1 goal in 6 matches for sure!
It was also obvious to many that Tony Craig could not cope in a 2 man CB format because of his pace issues and arial issues, but not Yems.
Also he should have played Lynch on a couple more occasions this season.
Lets hope he has now seen the light and can build on today! He is a great Scout - we all know that, but his management is far from polished! I hope he now puts right the wrongs of earlier in the season!
