Wound me up, worst performance I’ve seen by far in a long time
Totally agree. I thought this might be the occasion to build upon on a decent run of form and really dominate a team at home. Wrong. Players seemed unsettled after the Ferry substitution and we looked all over the place for the rest of the half, after a really good first 5 mins.
Only positives I would take are some neat link-up play on the left between Tsaroulla and Hutchinson, and Powell worked hard all game.
Ultimately another deflating home performance though.
Really bad day at the office. I thought Matthews performance was positive looked to make thing happen often. My MOM. Heard a few boo's and comments about "not good enough" directed at Yems at FT, but not making excuses, but I do wonder if Tilley stretchered off affected the team. Hope he is ok.

Yes, true. That's the most important thing. (Just seen the update. Good news!)

I bet Ferry was having a chuckle to himself when Yems got a Red Card at the End!
Might be a Blessing that Yems will now sit in the Stands for the next 3 matches. He will be able to concentrate on the tactical issues of the 2nd half instead of spending half his time berating players on the touchline and berating officials from the touchline. I think this will prove a positive for us him sitting in the stands.
Pretty limp effort there to be honest, just shows what happens when your best two strikers are out injured. The defence looked pretty shaky I thought too, kept getting hit on the counter attack again and again. Hopefully Ludwig or Lynch return next week
Most importantly, hoping James Tilley gets better soon. I saw him outside the ground after the match and he told me he felt fine, just got knocked out badly. Hopefully won't be too long before he comes back as well
No disrespect to Hartlepool meant here but they are an average side but gave us a lesson in how to play today. Simple passing, looking forward, movement off the ball (especially after you pass it) solid defenders and a centre forward who could hold onto the ball when it was passed to him.
Our passing was terrible all game. The players stood and admired nearly every pass they gave and I didn't see us pass the ball to Nadesan's or Oteh's feet all game.
Their centre forward is a handful and Craig and Tunnicliffe were struggling with him all game but there was no help in front of them. Did we play with a screening midfielder? Did he bring a deckchair? Stop the ball going to his feet for gawds sake!
Yems getting a red just so he can open his gob. Stupid!
Disappointed but no real surprise for me - if you saw the first half of the season you’d know that, if injuries kick in, our levels can drop alarmingly and we are vulnerable to hardworking battlers like Hartlepool.
Without either one of Appiah or Nichols on the pitch, we lack that bit of class to damage teams up front. Lynch remains a huge miss too in terms of belief, organisation and leadership. I’ve never been a fan of the Powell-Payne chemistry and think Yems missed a trick by not giving Hutchinson more time to influence the game.
The Ferry spat was more a symptom of what was going wrong than a cause. Two against the woodwork in the first 3 minutes signalled this was not going to be our day. Players shouldn’t backchat the management team but Yems should have waited til half time to conduct business behind closed doors rather than involve the whole of the West stand, it created a febrile sentiment there that was still dribbling along in a silly fashion after the final whistle.
It’s a shame our good away performances are creating a weight of expectation that is being regularly let down by home matches. But probably a good thing that we have the leaders next at the Broadfield as such a big game will pull everyone together for the challenge of the season

We weren't United today. Hartlepool were. Yems is a pl0nker - lets hope he doesn't sit next to you crawley57away, but hang on you don't go to any away games do you . As for the match itself for your manager to be throwing expletives at one of your players never looks good. Very unprofessional and then Yems subs him. He did nothing wrong Yems. You did. You lost Crawley the match today but will you own it. Nah never its always someone else's fault. No wonder several boos were aimed at you at full-time.

Tsaroulla was the only player I thought could say they had a good game today. Morris was OK and Hutchinson did alright when he came on but other than that everyone else was average to very poor
"Absolute garbage" says Yems www.crawleytownfc.com/news/2022/february/hartlepool-reaction--john-yems--jack-powell/ "I've never seen such a worse official...he couldn't move around the pitch. He says he shouldn;t talk to refs like that then says "if that's a referee then I'm gonna take the game up myself" congratulations Johnny boy you have got yourself another ban! Then Yems calls the officials "clowns". If that's not enough he then has a go at fans moaning and how they weren't moaning Tuesday. At the end he says he takes responsibility for picking them BUT its not just about picking them is it John, its about what you tell them to do and how you spoke to ferry was disgraceful. SO how about in John, give it up and take up reffing and lets see if you can do any better.

Poor display from us.

I think we are probably around a similar level to Hartlepool, Harrogate and most of the teams in this division to be honest at this moment in time. They all would probably be thinking 'if we were more consistent we would definitely be up there'
Yems' behaviour was pretty poor today tbh and the whole Ferry thing was odd. If he'd waited until half time before dealing with it then he probably wouldn't have been booed at the end
