"Absolute garbage" says Yems www.crawleytownfc.com/news/2022/february/hartlepool-reaction--john-yems--jack-powell/ "I've never seen such a worse official...he couldn't move around the pitch. He says he shouldn;t talk to refs like that then says "if that's a referee then I'm gonna take the game up myself" congratulations Johnny boy you have got yourself another ban! Then Yems calls the officials "clowns". If that's not enough he then has a go at fans moaning and how they weren't moaning Tuesday. At the end he says he takes responsibility for picking them BUT its not just about picking them is it John, its about what you tell them to do and how you spoke to ferry was disgraceful. SO how about in John, give it up and take up reffing and lets see if you can do any better.
Lol you love the Yems show, you never talk about anything else on here
You know there was also a game of football today fella, talk about that rather than your unrequited love
It shows how good our recent results have been that after that ropey day at the office today, we are still 12th (and just 8 off the playoffs).
Not that I think that’s a realistic target. Teams that make the playoffs have squads that when they lose key players, others come in and deliver the goods. There has been no sign this season we have that.
I have one or two tactical quibbles with what Yems did today but I’m not going to megalomaniacally pretend it would have been 3 points today if he had followed my master plan, overall the players didn’t have the spark or guile
The referee was not the best out there today admittedly, he did miss quite a few clear fouls. Doesn't excuse us for a lackluster performance though
If anything I think today just shows we're not ready to have a serious go at promotion or the playoffs just yet. If we were to somehow sneak into 7th on the last day and then win the playoffs I'd worry we would struggle really badly in League 1 next term, as I don't think we have the right personnel yet to be competitive in there and signing loads and loads of players could upset any momentum (obviously this is all hypothetical though). What we need to do is as soon as this campaign is over, sit down and identify clearly what areas we need to make signings in. Then aim to conduct our transfer business quite a few weeks in advance before the season starts so that gives more time for new players to fully integrate into the team and give us a clear idea on tactics before the first match next term. If we have the money I'd like to see us add specialist coaches for defence and attack too just to help iron out silly mistakes.
As for out of contract players, the next few months is their chance to prove to us that they deserve to be at Crawley for the longer term, it's important for them that they perform well otherwise some tough decisions will need to be made in May as to who to keep.
Very disappointed today, nadesian offered nothing which was the most disappointing thing, are we a one man team ? Possibly.... Having a good away form won't bring the punters in the door which is what we need....ref? No issue today so what was yemms issue ? Hope for the life of me we didn't decide to rest nichols because if we did that has ended our season, why can't we be honest like other teams and let us know whats going on with injuries etc
I bet Ferry was having a chuckle to himself when Yems got a Red Card at the End!
Might be a Blessing that Yems will now sit in the Stands for the next 3 matches. He will be able to concentrate on the tactical issues of the 2nd half instead of spending half his time berating players on the touchline and berating officials from the touchline. I think this will prove a positive for us him sitting in the stands.
We weren't United today. Hartlepool were. Yems is a pl0nker - lets hope he doesn't sit next to you crawley57away, but hang on you don't go to any away games do you . As for the match itself for your manager to be throwing expletives at one of your players never looks good. Very unprofessional and then Yems subs him. He did nothing wrong Yems. You did. You lost Crawley the match today but will you own it. Nah never its always someone else's fault. No wonder several boos were aimed at you at full-time.

We didn’t rest him he was injured. How more honest do you want them to be?

Nichols told me after the game he just had a knock but he's hoping to be back next week. The ref didn't really had to make any big decisions but as I said earlier he did miss quite a few clear fouls in my opinion. But when the standard of refereeing in the Premier League is so poor you're unlikely to get brilliant refs down here too. I probably wouldn't have bothered talking about him if I was the manager though as I'd be more concerned about the passing and lack of creativity going forward.
Nadesan was poor today unfortunately and to be honest I think it might be best for both him and the club if he moves on this summer (as he's out of contract). I think he clearly wants to be the no.1 striker but with Nichols and Appiah around he won't get that and I just feel that he could do with a change of scenery to get himself going again
We’re struggling to make that transition from midfield into the strikers and they can’t get involved in the game. Been the same at home for a while. I’d like to see the midfield have more confidence in the front boys and give it to their feet. I know they are not typical ‘back-to-goal’ players but think we need to do it to get the ball to stick further up.
Usually I don’t mind that John wears his heart on his sleeve but was a bit too much today. I think he forgets that most fans don’t/can’t travel so of course there will be groans when we’ve lost to Tranmere, thrown away a win against Stevenage and not turned up today.

Overall, just a shit day. On to next week!
That's why I think Yems will benefit a lot from having a calmer head alongside him who's not afraid to say when things are going too far. Not saying we should get rid of Bradbury but having an additional assistant could be hugely beneficial, you see quite a few clubs have more than one assistant manager these days

I think Yems was having a go at the refs weight, TBH kettle black and all that. It was an awful performance and what Yems says about he picks the times, however it is his tactics and today they were hopeless. I think he has lost he dressing room. The Yems and Ferry incident was not a good advert for football and Yems completely misses the fact that the vast majority of Crawley fans do not go away I've only been to two all season we see home matches mostly. Get a grip John.

What tactics? Non existent as far as I could see today.

Lewis Young?
His job title's 'First Team Coach'
He's the only other one we have apart from the goalkeeper and fitness coaches. That's why I think an additional first team coach could help take some of the pressure off and allow mistakes to be sorted out

Talking to yourself now.
I see the Yems Disciples are out in force again tonight. He can do no wrong in their eyes and/or he has a few drinking buddies on this Forum. Well he does plenty wrong as a Manager. Only his Scouting Abilities are saving him at the moment. Let Yems be the Head Scout and let my Mother be the Manager and I guarantee you all we would be higher than 12th place right NOW!
