Crawley Town play at home against Scunthorpe United in the 2021/22 EFL League 2, Saturday 5th March 15:00 kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds.
HT 0-0. Reds played well and should be in front with most of the possession and chances. Scunthorpe look a beatable team and we should win this game. Hopefully we can stick a couple of goals in second half.
Should have won that comfortably but we seemed to want to take too many touches again to get the ball in the box , felt like as things wasn't going how we all thought they would maybe it unsettled us a little and we lost control of the game and they grew a little...could have had 2 or 3 penalties on a different day and with nicols playing we would have won that easily as his cleverness would have undone them...could have done with grego Cox or Matthews today also..... As said previously , they are bottom of the league and did grow into the game in the 2nd half and possibly had the 2 best chances of the game , so why the hell did they time waste so much ? Desperate for points(more than 1 I'd say) and could easily have won that game but just seemed happy to play the clock down. If we are ever in there position I hope we put up more of a fight than that..
So our poor home form continues positives - Yemsy not sent off!! We are safe and can do what we do without worry - even if painful to watch at times Not so good - Morris kicking - bad day at the office mitigated by a couple of good saves Nadders playing out wide and nobody else in middle who can score - should have got Marshall on a lot earlier Tea bars again completely overwhelmed and people now leaving game 10 minutes before half time to get served!

Good points - guessing they are happy wit away point and looking to win home games but even that probably wouldn't be enough
Dare I say our second half didn't match our first? As I 'liked' a post above should've and could've put game to bed multiple times. Morris kept upin the game my MOM. Powell did ok to until unfortunately sub'd. We lacked the finishing touch. Scunny got lucky several times with flick ons and so on and could have scored a few times themselves. When they broke 4 v 2 in second half I thought that was it but thankfully they are by far worse team we have played this season and I also wonder whether they could've played all night and not scored. Although Young was seen on the mobile ordering his Chinese for later I I mean asking Yems what number to order on the pitch and off, Young is unbeaten and we have not conceded a goal under his management. What didn't make sense at times was Scunny wasting time FFS they are well adrift and in desperate need of point. Their 16 year old making his league debut was no better or worse than the rest that seriously would struggle in the National league.
Yes we lack that touch of class to open up deep defensive teams without Nichols and Appiah. But reality check, Scunthorpe are a bigger club than us and it’s them that’s going down, not non league heritage Crawley. On to Tuesday and hope Nichols is back. Appiah is about a week away Erdem was telling fans at the end
We missed Appiah and Nichols. We got caught on the break a few times was good to see but equally risky at times Lynch moving up field. Was it a pen (handball) at the away end? Plenty of shouts in West stand.
We should have brought Frost and Marshall on earlier and tried to overwhelm them. They were there for the taking! Agree about the comments about time wasting what a sad state of affairs for their fans. Also agree about Morris’s kicking, he’s been booting it out from goal kicks like Paul Jones used to do, he was excellent as always though and made a great save at the end so only a minor complaint.
Awful game lacked quality and finishing touch. I thought Frost did better than ok when he came on but Archie was a flop like the rest of them. Lynch, Craig and Morris step aside the rest of you explain please you are professional footballers and that looked far from professional.

I thought we had a goalkeeping coach at the club? Can't say ive seen Glenn's kicking improve, thankfully he more than makes up for it with his shot stopping.
