So our poor home form continues positives - Yemsy not sent off!! We are safe and can do what we do without worry - even if painful to watch at times Not so good - Morris kicking - bad day at the office mitigated by a couple of good saves Nadders playing out wide and nobody else in middle who can score - should have got Marshall on a lot earlier Tea bars again completely overwhelmed and people now leaving game 10 minutes before half time to get served!
The tea bar at HT was the longest snake of a queue I've ever seen in the West Stand. They really need to get it back to how it was and remove that table they have because it now ends up with people blocking the route to the smoking exit and toilets.
Very disappointing. Should’ve and could’ve easily won that game. First half was really good, we played on the front foot and created a few decent chances and should’ve gone in ahead at HT. Second half we created a few more decks chances and fluffed our lines again. Several times we were in good positions, but either didn’t shoot or took to many touches and then shot. Very poor. Scunthorpe grew into the game and we seemed to run out of sting, but thankfully they were so negative they were happy to see out a 0-0. I’d say credit to Scunthorpe and we’ll done us for keeping a clean sheet as well, but I feel today was more about us not being good enough to win fluffing our lines rather than a heroic performance from the Scunthorpe defence.
Negatives - once again a failure to put away the bottom team and a crowd 200 less than Lewes v Worthing in the Isthmian.
Positives - another point and FL football is secure for another season.
It's a long time since we heard anything from Mr Eren. Perhaps in the politest possible way (bearing in mind without his donations the club would be struggling) they have taken Crawley as far as they can.
Aah….at least someone saw it even remotely close to how I did. First half we were excellent. The creativity and play between the attacking players was exceptional. Particularly Powell Hutchinson Tsouroulla and Nadesan.
Their GK was MoM. That says it all. Brilliant saves from Hutchinsons header and his turn and shot in second half and a worldy of a save from Nads late on.
It’s ok saying we were wasteful in front of goal but those three saves apart I can’t remember a single chance where I couldn’t believe we didn’t score. If I was being over critical I’d probably say delivery from wide areas wasn’t great and often took a touch too many instead of delivering.
Powell was excellent and taking him off was a huge mistake and first half Hutchinson was outstanding.
We just lost our way midway through second half and then it got desperate and that’s unfortunately what most will remember.

2,347 Lewes 1 Worthing 2 that's unreal wow! Looks like Worthing are going up to National South. Could they make the football league? Can Sussex sustain 3 football league teams?
Good crowd for Lewes but I seem to remember when we was in a similar league position we had far bigger gates (4000 + for weymouth). Unfortunately our gates are suffering from a combination of things . 4 home games in a row is not great as big expense for some. Crawley biggest effected town in country because of pandemic. Only I game in fixture list that could be called local... Everytime this season the Premier league has had a free weekend we have been away.. We have been poor at home this season, Ticketing arrangements are far from ideal.. However I still feel this club still has huge potential to improve, especially the way the surrounding area is expanding... The only thing I can't explain is why there are so many faces I used to see all the time but never see anymore... We have come a long way to be disappointed that we haven't beaten oldham and scunthorpe...

I went to spec savers but am keen to know where you got your rose tinted specs from?

over the years ive read and written a lot about potential. Will Crawley ever live up to this though?

Agree here- safety is success at the moment.
Eren has certainly played his part and probably deserves a lot more credit than most of us give him.
Bottom line is we aren't a particularly interesting investment for most people as we don't own our ground, have small crowds and a dwindling interest in the team

Sadly all true as was remark made upwards in the thread about how hard the pandemic has hit the town economically and having so many home games back to back. Tough times and I'm always reminded how great it is to be where we are in the football league, even if sometimes I come away thinking that wasn't great.

Scunthorpes GK was the man of the match. Three saves he made were exceptional. Sometimes perception of a performance is, immediately after a game, driven by emotion based on the scoreline and sometimes the scoreline doesn’t reflect the performance. Positively (FG) or negatively (Scunthorpe).
