I’m skeptical Evans would be able to revive the magic from his last spell and his last few jobs have hardly been great. Hasn’t really done much since leaving Rotherham over 5 years ago. Tisdale took a long time to bring success to Exeter- times have changed I don’t think the owners will want a 5 year project. Don’t know who half the others are. Owners choice will be telling where their tenure is going.
Yes I think Evans has become something of a busted flush, not won a promotion for 8 seasons now. Plus in light of another post on this board, his appointment might seem highly dubious and pose a lot of questions.
By "another post on this board", you mean scurrilous allegations about dirty tricks by ex-employees from an unverified source... I can reveal the source also referenced these two articles in support of their outrageous claim:
All of those named may have concerns about a NON-TRADITIONAL ROLE & how it is defined for the potential Manager. Candidates might like the funding & opportunity, but be wary of analytics, stats & moneyball.
But their real reservations would be as a pioneer of a new world order, where NFT rights give investors an input into team selection & player signings...?
Of course, alternatively they may view it as a blessing: "We would not have conceded the two goals in the last minute" said a dejected Pep Guardiola, "If the Bored Apes, Cryptopunks & C57's Mum, had not overruled my decision to leave Tony Craig on".
If we have to let Yems go because of the allegations against him how could we appoint Evans after the allegations of what he did at Bradford are still out there?
From left field how about Anthony Hayes from Charlton?
Good reputation, senior professional lead coach (u23), which I think means he is in charge, and young with no fear of analytics.
Truthfully I have no idea who will get the job but from our previous appointments I expect it to be someone I don't expect.
I wonder if Thomas Verheydt is available, he'd make an excellent player manager and the fans would all be behind him
We never saw the best from Thomas Verheydt. If you are looking for an ex player who would make an excellent manger how about Brian Jensen. I was sorry when he left Crawley.

Verheydt has a very decent scoring record in Dutch football but didn't seem cut out for the pace of L2. Took ages to get going.
Personally don't want any of these journey type managers. 2 names that I would throw into the mix though is Matty Harrold and Emma Hayes
Interesting one. I wonder how Emma would manage in mens football, on the other hand I can't see why she would choose Crawley over Chelsea particularly with a new owner at the Bridge.

Ha ha Hayes would be a brilliant shout. Won everything at a certain level and her TV analysis leaves the likes of Neville and co for dead. Matty not for me let him get some experience somewhere

Was in the Bookies this morning and noticed Emma Hayes has gone from 4/1 to 4/6 Odds to become the next Permanent AFC Wimbledon Manager. So I do not think she will be coming here!
Emma Hayes has already said she would not take the pay cut to manage Wimbledon. She also asked why she should take a step down just to manage in men's football.
Every time I hear her speak (on the telly) an read her press reports she impresses me. Sadly not a hope in hell of her coming here.

You might be right Jim, but to go from 4/1 to 4/6 odds is alot of money placed on her to become next AFC Wimbledon Manager! Watch this Space!
