Cancelling friendlies at short notice and arranging friendlies at short notice, WAGMI do what they want! Another good coup for the new ownership along with some decent signings and new kit manufacturers etc. Seems they are trying to raise the profile of the club. Let’s hope this translates to better outcomes on the pitch as well.
Any suggestions that this is only because we have tickets for the Open and will be based in Edinburgh would be far too cynical and entirely coincidental.
It's next Saturday so yes. I can't help but feel playing Hearts is far better preparation for our players than Horsham though
we could get hammered by Hearts. Not sure playing a team of their level away is such a good idea but what do I know in KB we mudt trust.
I'm sure playing Hearts will be much more of a test than playing Horsham, but far more beneficial too. We have aspirations of playing at a higher level, so PSFs against QPR and Hearts are the kind of games we need to be involved in.
The past few years our pre-season has been about trying to gain a wider fanbase in W Sussex by playing local non-league teams. It hasn't worked. Pre-season needs to be about getting the team back into the groove of playing, gaining match fitness, bedding in the new signings, working on the manager's new formations and tactics that he will inevitably bring in. Under KB (and WAGMI) we already look a more professional outfit than we have before. We might even be able to hand over our tinpot reputation to another team

That's fine, it's pre-season and results don't matter. Often you learn about players in adversity more than you do when they are given a comfortable ride. Hope it's on youtube as it's a nice moment for the club attracting a fixture like this
