With the start of the season being 30th July this year, assume this means we may only be getting one home friendly this season
This is Horsham’s pre-season programme starting on 16 July, expect ours will start earlier.
I’m aware of that jb. Just pointing out that if we are playing them away that late in our schedule, that I wouldn’t expect more than one home friendly for us
Its laughable and ludicrous in the same breath why we want to train on grass then accept a PSF on plastic!
It's probably something related to a partnership between the two clubs, as this friendly has been a regular occurance for the last few years now. Maybe it was done before the takeover happened?
Hope we get the usual PSF against three bridges as that’s always a good watch. Need some higher opposition as well though.
Certainly with the home friendlies, someone like Southampton or Brentford would be great. Also be nice to see us play a team from Scotland or even from Europe at the Broadfield if that's possible, will be different from the usual fare. Don't want any against academy teams tbh
If what Preston said about the 5g pitches and us playing on grass - then it’s a possibility that the Horsham game may not go ahead-
if they want to play on grass then Bognor has one of the best pitches in Sussex - and fairly local only an hour away -
I’ve always wondered would we be able to get a tie up with Brighton, they use the stadium for the ladies and we use their training ground. They’ve got a great facility down there at Lancing

Would be great if Gabriele Cioffi would bring Udinese over for a PSF at the Broadfield. Not gonna happen I know, but we can dream...

A Scottish team and European team be good, Real Madrid? Serious some variance on Chelsea under 9's be good!

Scottish team should be Ayr United, would see the return of Sam Ashford. I was thinking we could bring a German or Dutch team over too, as I do like the approach those two nations have to football

I can’t get my head around everyone wanting big name teams - why - we need to play with the ball but against these teams you are chasing it for 90 minutes- you may have it for perhaps 30% of the game which doesn’t help getting confidence on the ball and creating anything - Perhaps a game against a Championship team and League 1 teams at home then a couple of National League teams with grass pitches away.
Would suggest a line up of - Watford or QPR and Wycombe home Eastleigh, Woking, Boreham Wood away as a minimum
