It's all a bit piecemeal the information regarding the PSFs , especially as they are not listed under fixtures on the official site.
Based upon reading this thread I understand the following are arranged :-
Eastbourne Borough Away - Saturday 2 July Sutton Common Rovers Away - Wednesday 6 July Horsham Away - Saturday 16 July
Please let me know if I've missed anything, as I'm looking to arrange trips to the games.
Thanks
I wouldn’t commit to any of those. Betsy has openly said he wasn’t happy with the fixtures arranged. I think some frantic changes have been going on
I don't see why we can't still play the above fixtures, but send our B team - play the kids. KB can make sure some alternative PSFs are arranged for the first team to play against decent opposition who are L2 level or above.
No offence to the teams above, but those matches will only benefit our opponents, not us.

Did we not lose in a friendly 3-1 or 2-0 to Horsham a few years ago and Eastbourne reached the play offs in the National south so they are no mugs either! obviously would be better to play professional teams, but Eastbourne and Horsham would still be a reasonable test.

We need to be playing L1 or above teams in PSFs. That will prove a test for the first team and be far more beneficial than playing local non-league teams because it's expected of us. If we played a Championship side and lost, there's no shame in that. If we lose to Sutton Common, that's hardly a great start to the KB era is it?
Yes we should play Horsham as we groundshare, and Three Bridges as it's traditional. But beyond that, send the kids to the local non-league teams (they need to actually play some matches this season) and give the first teamers a proper test.

Do we still use Horsham’s training facilities? I heard on the grapevine we’ve moved to a grass pitch at a school again.

I heard the new owners say they didn't like the artificial pitch, so would not be surprised if we won't be training at Horsham anymore. Same with Betsy too I got the impression, he didn't seem very impressed at all with what had been planned under old management regarding the standard of teams some pre season games were against. I'd imagine a couple of home fixtures will be announced shortly for the two weekends in July that don't have any fixtures planned at the moment

Yems was always very flippant about pre season friendlies. Always felt he didn’t see much value in them. Would explain some of the opposition. Shame for those teams expecting a few extra quid on the gate though.
These friendlies must be a joke what a shower of sh1t they are. A friendly at East Gimstead FFS awful parking and then to add insult the Charlton game is there too, what idiot arranged this?

Great pre season friendlies for Eastbourne- two League 2 clubs and one League 1 club, not bad for a national south team!
Our friendlies are pretty dull and uninspiring. We got thrashed 6-1 to a Charlton U23 team in the pizza cup with virtually our first choice 11 last season so let's hope we can avoid similar embarrassment. I imagine with the new management team coming in a few weeks after the season ended and with the new season starting earlier than ever in July we didn't have much time to arrange things and have had to take what we can get!
I hope we have a few even behind closeddoors warm ups ahead of this. Tough opposition but far better than the past Chelsea under 17s or whatever they were.

Preston and Co said the first training session was done at Horsham yesterday on the twitter space so looks like they have the facilities for another season?

But if we play Premier League clubs, they send a youth/academy side and everyone moans about that instead.
