Will be schooled in the Graham Potter possession style so hopefully a good fit into what Kev is trying to do here
Yes lots of tippy tippy passing sideways and backwards. I saw Burgess Hill play a Brighton 11 (mostly under 18s so similar age to this guy) and there was lots of tippy tappy sideways passing, but hardly any chances created in the final third. I feel like youth coaches and youth players need to be reminded of the basics of the game- out scoring your opponents! Burgess Hill won the match 1-0 with a really scrappy goal scored from a corner after 2 or 3 minutes and missed a penalty as well, but the young Brighton players were far superior technically and there were times when Burgess Hill struggled to get the ball of them, but ultimately Burgess Hill did the basics of the game better. After last Saturdays showing against Aldershot in the friendly where we gifted them 3 goals, hopefully Betsy won’t have to remember the basics of the game!

But also fair to remember all those recent senior cup finals when they just sent a year younger age group each time and still beat the best we could put out. The Brighton academy do have a very good record of winning matches in their U23 league and our old boy Simon Rusk was a big part of achieving that
