Crawley Town play at home against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup (2022/23 season), Saturday 5th November 15:00 kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds
I passed the Crown Plaza hotel in Felbridge around 6:15pm last night. The Accrington Stanley team coach had just pulled up to the entrance doors and the players were disembarking. I think a lot of our away opponents stay here? I recall seeing the Barrow team coach in the car park there previously.

Saw the Mansfield coach there a couple of weeks back as well, think it’s the most popular choice.
They wanted it a lot more but our defending was dreadful. I must say ever since Tunnicliffe left our defence really has been poor. Injuries haven’t helped though I get that. Man of the match was Fellows. Accrington levels above us everywhere fair play to them. I really rate their number 8 Tommy Leigh what a talent they have there. Got let go from portsmouth academy and they Scouted him from Bognor! Frustrating game time to focus on the league surge.
We got to be honest. Every time they wanted to score they could have!
From manager through the whole team they were a step above us today. Two poor match officials decisions from where I was but in truth they were just better than us.
Shit happens. Brush yourself down, get on the training pitch and start again.
One of those days - we were a bit flat but Accrington despite their lowly status were sharp and on it. Thought their first two goals were good and we did well to stay in the game with our goal.
The third goal before half time was a shocker though, no professional football team should be conceding those, a free shot inside the box from a corner. Abysmal. It effectively killed the game.
Their 4th looked clearly offside, add it to the long list of terrible decisions we’ve endured this season. On a positive note both our wingers Davis and Fellows had good games
