Conroy is a sicknote unfortunately. He's never fit. I was surprised we managed to sign him, but heard that he was injured more often than not at Swindon, so it's no wonder they let him go. He could be good for us, but we need players who can make more than 2 appearances without breaking down. Tony Craig is rarely injured. Like all defenders he makes the occasional mistake, but our back four is better for having an experienced pro like him or Lynch in it. Lynch is injured again, so it beggars belief that Wagmi have got rid of Craig, and also club captain Francomb in a petulant hissy fit. I don't know what their agenda is, but its definitely not for the benefit of the club. Agree with you that Galley needs to be kept as far away from CTFC as possible.
Yeah I don’t understand this weird fixation on only having players under 25. Aren’t there any decent players over 25 with good stats? Or are appearance stats not counted as real stats by WAGMI?

Which does rather beg a question about how much due diligence, if any, was done by Statman on the signing. Rather than looking at the number of completed sideways 5 yard passes, perhaps it might have been better to look at how many consecutive games players play before getting injured. I remember seeing comments from Swindon fans about his injury record. Nothing personal at all against Dion as he looks decent on the occasions we see him but a player who spends most of the season on a treatment table isn’t very helpful. Same applies to Lynch - fantastic defender who you would absolutely want in your side but very rarely plays more than half a dozen games at a time. It would be nice to field a settled back 4 for a few consecutive games.
Post-match reaction from the club. The more I hear from Darren the more I'm liking. He confirmed the Crawley Physio was also booked ahead of Darren's sending off. Dom also comes across very well, honest, respectful.
Fully agree. He appears motivated and knows what he is talking about.
Hopefully we can keep him at the club.
I am always wary of giving caretakers the job on a long term basis. But I think Byfield may be the exception to the rule. I like the cut of his jib and would rather see him given the reins for the rest of the season than any of the other names being linked with the post. And it's good to see Dom Telford has found his shooting boots.
There might be some craziness around Crawley Town FC at the moment but if the owners stick with Byfield then sanity and safety might prevail.
Didn't Conroy break his shoulder in an early season match which is not one of the usual injuries that we seem to suffer.
Yes, he seemed to fall awkwardly on his side in the game at Colchester. The trouble is that since then, as far as I am aware, there has been no information at all on him or the nature of the injury. I’m sure we all respect the fact that players are entitled to a degree of privacy on medical issues particularly if the injury is a serious one, but we are not asking for a detailed breakdown of the injury and recovery process. I can’t see that opposition managers would be sweating on their plans if it was announced that player x has a bad shoulder injury and is likely to be sidelined for a number of weeks. I’m sure we all wish him well whatever the injury is.

Looked to me like a dislocated shoulder at Colchester. Am told he is back soon and will be featuring in a friendly that is planned
Played 3 games in August then 2 months in injured. Back in October, 4 games (we got 7 points) then another 2 months injured. Sounds like two separate injuries - really unlucky.

Yeah was different injuries. Big John Akinde had a part to play in the second
