SL clearly raging in that interview, which to be honest, I like to see.
I’ve said before during this season that we just ain’t mean enough when we need to be.
I’m also trying to tell myself it’s a measure of just how far we’ve come when we’re challenging for play offs and getting pissed off by dropping to 10th in the table.
Who’d have thought that was even possible at the start of the season.
Just totally pissed that they looked more like play off challengers than us when we needed to grip the game from the start which I think is what SL was referring to.
Hopefully the players get a grip and take it out on Newport on Monday.
Scott said we were too nice again, but I don't think he has built his team around hard physical players. We don't have a big lump of a striker, a big hard centre back nor a hard tackling midfielder. Instead, we have smaller, quick players who play passing possession often attractive football. This I feel is why we find it hard to play mean football, and can be bullied by teams that do.
We have a very poor record against Doncaster, Won 1, Drawn 5, lost 4, our only win coming the first time we played them in August 2012. We have a better record against Newport, so here's hoping for Monday.
Very surprisingly our goal difference of +1 is as good or better than every team from 7th and below us except for Wimbledon in 8th who have a +11. Might be important come the day
There's only 1 way we dont make the Play-Offs, and thats if SL keeps starting with Maguire (1.2 pts every time he starts) as opposed to Ransom (1.8 pts every time he starts). There is a GULF between them Long Term Stats.
Agree, Ransom is better defender, Maguire spends too much time in forward role, and slow at times at back. For some reason Scott prefers him over Ransom. Ransom has not even been on the bench since, he was taken off at half time against Notts County. Is he injured or just out of favour again?
Think Joy Mukena has actually been our best defender since he came into side.
Put Williams at right back Wright in midfield where I thought he looked good Tsaroulla left back him and Forster would cause problems,Lolos on the bench as an impact sub and Ransom up front great in the air heart of a lion just what we need. Alright I'll get me coat.
Bizarrely, I actually don’t think their sending off helped us too much, when my immediate thoughts at the time were we’d just pass them to death and wear them down, then score.
Watched an after match interview with their captain just there who said we (meaning them) actually became more dangerous when we went down to 10.
Whereas as SL said, we lacked control in trying to get the equaliser.
Don’t think that lot could quite believe they’d manage to come here and do such a successful professional number on us.
We helped them greatly, unfortunately.
Time for the players to show they’ve properly grown up now and can handle the pressure and get something from Monday.
Bloody poor from start to finish! Be honest. That could have been 0-4 and we couldn't complain.
From the south stand I did think the second goal was all Addai's fault but from the highlights Mukena has to take some blame too.
The first goal shows the problems of playing centre backs against wingers. Their winger tied Wright in knots before wandering past him. Great goal from their point of view.
The old adage of 'when it's going well, look at the midfield. When going badly, look at the midfield' comes to mind. Our four, of Forrester, Darcy, Kelly and Adeyemo were outfought and out thought during the game. Not a surprise as there is about ten league games in total amongst three of them.
Clubs X Twitter account just announcing the crowd was 4711, biggest crowd at home ever.
What a shame they saw the team lose and miss out on the type of performances we’ve seen already this season as regular attendees.
Still, it shows we have the potential to get bigger and better attendances when the club makes progress on the pitch and shows signs of going for success.

bit false though as no PL, Brighton, Palace not playing. Dry sunny at times Easter weekend. Play that normal prices wet cold winter evening then see the attendance. That said, gotta start somewhere.
I think it also showed that the players looked a bit lost at times and I think that’s partly down to SL not being on the touchline barking orders out.
They deserved to win, but I’ve been watching football for decades and haven’t till now seen the most blatant piece of cheating I’ve seen yet meaning I hadn’t previously had such a good view of it!
It was when they went down to 10 men and their manager was trying to give them a whole new set of directions when half a dozen of the players started shouting over to their goalie to fall down and feign injury so that they could get the full team talk.
Keeper didn’t hear at first then when he eventually did, he fell to the ground like he’d been shot. Incredible and why didn’t the linesman see it?
One day I want us to be that good at gamesmanship though it has to be said.
Such blatant cheating from Doncaster. Anyone involved in such blatant cheating should receive a 10 match ban and fine of 2 weeks wages. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
