I do hope this link works but if not, please go to the X Twitter account of a matt_walker96 to view the video I spoke about earlier on this thread where the Doncaster players and manager cheated to get the goalie to feign injury in order to continue their team talk after the sending off.
I wasn’t wrong when I was screaming cheats at them at the top of my voice from the stand when I saw it happening in real time.

Disgraceful cheating. Officials really should done something about it
Although it can be seen as a form of cheating, I see it as a manipulation of the rules. Obviously, I wasn't happy about what Doncaster did, but it was part of a game management strategy which, along with what happened during the game, worked well for them. They were ably assisted by us being below par on the day.
It was probably on a par with our ex-league players gaining dodgy penalties from below-par referees in our last non-league season. And don't get me started on Izale McLeod in our last League One season. He probably had voodoo dolls at home of the next ref.

It is cheating. The goalkeeper was not injured he was walking around freely then he went down and pretended to be injured. There is no reality in which this is not cheating.

Yes, I know it's cheating, and it takes many forms. Diving to gain a penalty or free kick, feigning pain or injury to get an opponent carded or to break up play, appealing for goalkicks, corners or throws that you know are not yours, crafty shirt pulls to slow an opponent, going down holding your head after losing possession... Some of these are less unacceptable than others. Some are only acceptable if carried out by one's own team. Others are unacceptable always.
But they are all cheating. If we are going to condemn some types of cheating but not others, maybe we need some ground rules. Doncaster's goalkeeper cheat was probably made worse because they weren't very clever about concealing it.

I agree Paul. Cheating is as I have said before part of the game and the officials have powers to deal with it. In the same way Sooty has a couple of times tantalizingly mentioned the automatics for us with a fair wind and a huge run of results, I imagine Doncaster in the form they are in haven't yet given up on 7th and wont until it is mathematically impossible. Therefore when the moment came on Saturday when they had a player sent off, the chance to regroup and talk tactics was something that we saw worked for them. I don't blame them and give them some credit for game management but I WAS standing up and screaming at the lino and fourth official to take some action but it wasn't to be. Cory always makes a habit of falling to the floor late in games when he makes a save, we love it but to some its just another game management tactic.
