£2 games were a total disaster this year. Two deserved defeats, team didn't really turn up in either game. Actually think we would have done better with a smaller crowd as this team does not seem to be able to cope with pressure at home, and normal prices would have meant less away fans.
I agree, ban these stupid £2 a pop tickets, it's not some knock off gear in a dodgy east end market, it's meant to be a professional football match. Too many JCL's who couldn't give too hoots who won't be back if we stop winning. Time to scrap the idea.
I disagree on this point. The club have needed for a long time to put in place schemes to drive up attendances and this season and last season it has worked.
They gave us one, we gave them 2. How many times this year where we have given the opposition easy goals. So disappointing with a full house in attendance. Colchester on todays performance don't deserve to go down and with ours we don't deserve to go up. Just hope for a better game on Tuesday...
I'm still furious With the way we threw away this game, the defending for 2 of the 3 goals was absolutely shocking. You can't just gift teams two goals and expect to win. The tactics were all wrong from Lindsey today, the team was set up to attack and have the ball high up the pitch, but yet again every time we lose the ball it's like the parting of the Red Sea and we look like conceding. Williams have to cover too much ground in the middle, the only defensive midfielder in the team. We need to have a rethink and get our act together otherwise the season will just Peter out.
Your point about the parting of the Red Sea is unfortunately too accurate.
Seen many, many times this season sides charging forward after we lose possession with our players desperately trying to keep up with them.
Surprisingly it is our home form that has let us down this year. That is 9 defeats now and 15th in home performance table (as opposed to 3rd in away performance table)
Addai,Maguire and Wright what a joke , can't defend to save there life's, need to seriously look at mass replacement of the defence in the close season.
What happened to that CB we brought in on loan in January? Has he played yet? Is he injured? Does he actually exist? What a waste of fucking time that was.
A bit like the match today. A shower of shit wearing CTFC shirts. Why in fuck didn't SL bring on Tsaroulla? The match was crying out for him. And why do we only start attacking on 90 minutes? No plan B, no plan A. Utterly embarrassing today.
Don't think I need to say how poor that was. We all saw it. We could all slag of individual performances but what's the point. It doesn't help anyone.
I happen to think Conroy is our best defender but the other players seem in awe of him. When he makes himself available the ball has to go to him. It has the effect of really slowing down the game. Needs to be spoken about
Three really poor pieces of defending meant we lost the game but that team looked disjointed and slow. Now is the time to put your best team out and go for it.

It hasn't worked. They don't come back. Any club can artificially bump their attendances with tickets at £2 a pop. And as Alex BH says, when we do this, the team bottle it.

The only reason I can think of as to why SL didn't bring on Tsaroulla is that the left wing was one of the few areas we did quite well.
Anyone know where Gordon is? Is he injured or have I missed something?
Quite simply not good enough today and I actually blame the team selection but now is the time for everyone to stay together, we are punching above our weight and let’s try and enjoy the ride. Somehow it’s still in our hands but this team will not benefit from the shit I was hearing being thrown at them at the game today.
Don’t get me wrong, I was seething but that’s football, keep the negativity to yourself or shut the f*** up, please
Did anyone see why the Colchester player was red carded? I think it was off-the-ball and the ref missed it too. It looked like he was consulting his lino through his fazer. Was there a dust up near the tunnel as he went off?

Jim Bloomin'Annoyed Baker
SL has had all season to get a grip of our defence and sort them out. He hasn't. We still give away soft goals, usually due to poncing around at the back with sideways and backwards passing. The defenders also seem scared to tackle. They just stand off and let the opposition strikers have a free shot at goal. Imagine trying that in L1?
Firstly chins up chaps (and lasses) its still in our hands, It wasn't unexpected but does show that when plan a isnt working it is too much to expect the players to execute plan b which is do plan a better. We needed some variety and I felt sorry for Darcy who was a spare wheel for much of the time he was on the pitch.

Saw it all, their player just basically roughed up Mcguire when they were both running together , grabbed him , used his forearm to whack him on the side of the head and also forced him to the ground. When McGuire shouted at the ref I saw the ref hadn’t seen any of it as he was looking the wrong way.
Just looked like he lost it and wanted to take McGuire out for some unknown reason.
Dreading Tuesday, if we lose to Barrow I think that'll be curtains, and if we lose to the hands of Dom Telford again I'll be fuming. At the end of the day promotion would probably do more harm than good, and I don't think any of us can say we were expecting it as a possibility, but it would be nice.
