Scott was very honest in assessment. Said team were unprofessional at times, gifted them at least two goals, were unfocused, nervy and need to know when to kick into touch. I would think he gave them a rollicking. Dion certainly looked upset about performance in his interview.
Yes Sooty, but he never mentions the ''CHASM of SPACE LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PITCH '' when we go forward and break down!
When Corey came out in the second half his body language pointed to a broken man. He will need a big lift before Tuesdays game. If only he had got a firm head onto that last minute corner.
I used to read Roy of the Rovers.
Saw the same.
On more than one occasion he was shouting out to himself with his head back looking like he was just furious with himself.
Dreading Tuesday, if we lose to Barrow I think that'll be curtains, and if we lose to the hands of Dom Telford again I'll be fuming. At the end of the day promotion would probably do more harm than good, and I don't think any of us can say we were expecting it as a possibility, but it would be nice.
A day at Wembley would do the club the world of good. Let’s not start saying that we don’t want to go up.
Can someone explain to me the logic in wanting to stop the ticket offer games ‘because a big crowd is too much pressure’ when what we’re moaning about is potentially missing out on a trip to Wembley.. in front of an.. err.. big crowd. Suppose if we get there the club could only request 2k tickets to make sure the players feel better ffs

On that note, I hope everyone stops buying Sutton tickets - don’t want to intimidate our lads with a big following..
I agree a poor performance. However this time last year we were below Colchester and looking at oblivion. Lighten up and enjoy the roller coaster that we have been on. Scott has done an amazing job with a group of no hoppers, who have all stepped up to the challenge.

Good points.
Have to check myself sometimes but it’s precisely because we’ve set ourselves such high standards this season that we expect even more from this team who have already exceeded expectations by a country mile.
It’s actually ridiculous that we’re even in this position and without doubt this is because of the phenomenal job SL has done this season.
This next game is the real acid test of whether that have the professionalism to fight back and get the result they need.
One thing SL DID get wrong today was not brining Nick T on especially when they went down to 10 men.
He would have a had a field day running at their knackered defenders and trying to create something.

Scrap the cheap tickets its just wasteful and far too cheap. Its obvious many arent really interested. As for what happened on the pitch Wright, Macquire and Conroy are not good enough. Ransom no better. SL needs a plan B and fast. If Barrow park the bus we are doomed. We cant break teams down. Tuesday is a cup final. We cannot fail to win.

1st half it often looked like Williams was the ONLY player in the middle of the park. Our width was our strength AND weakness. The latter because the players didnt cut inside enough and read the game in terms of switching the play. The set up was all wrong for our defenders. We often look uncomfortable at the back. Its a worry. We need to play a flat back 4 against Barrow. They wont have many fans. We need to raise the roof and back the team throughout the toughest game of the season Tuesday.
My worry is that Barrow are the absolute masters of shutting up shop.
I’ve even heard SL say before (plus other L2 observers) that when they go ahead, Pete Wild always then has them put up an iron curtain defence and they’re notorious for snuffing the opposition out from then on.
With our defence, there’s a damn good chance they will score first on Tuesday as well.
I know some on this forum, and for admirable reasons, don’t like the singling out of players, but I just don’t get why Conroy gets the trust he gets from SL.
I think he’s slow, too deliberate and actually slows play down far too much when more urgency is needed instead.
Mind you it was his colleagues who gave a goal away each between them today.
Next time Scott asks me for some advice on how to beat the opposition, I will ask him what HIS plan B is, as he didn't get the players passing the ball out and around from keeper anywhere enough. Inexcusable to be booting the ball over the half-way line by the keeper. I can see some bad habits have developed. Im still available for help and guidance though and will be rooting for the lads Tuesday.
