From what I saw on Saturday TV needs a real boot camp to get probably fitter than he has ever been because he had the turning circle of a juggernaut and in the skill department he would score very low. When you think back to the amount of ground that Collins covered in attack and helping the defence compared to the amount of ground TV covered on Saturday it was like comparing a race horse to a cart horse. From what I saw I don't think he's our answer to a goal scoring centre forward and its going to be a very long season with many disappointments.

sadly your horse comparrisons are spot on. If an agent got a fiver outta bringing TV here he or she must be laughing all the way to the bank.
The lad has had a tough start having to fly home for family reasons, trying to settle into a different way of life etc so how about we get off his back until he has had at least 10 games under his belt before we start to judge him
I know the lad has had to return due to family reasons but his level of fitness seemed pretty low on Saturday surly if you are a pro footballed then you keep yourself reasonably fit during the close season. Yes its a different way of life but not to different and if we have to give him 10 games before we judge then we will be firmly routed at the bottom of the division with no escape except relegation. From what I saw of his skill level I don't think he is good enough for L2 I hope I am proved wrong.

I agree that's too early to judge, but surely you can understand the fans frustration when the marquee signing doesn't appear fit enough to play Ryman football. Game time is what he needs. So why wasn't he playing prior to returning to the Netherlands for family reasons?

We don't know if he came over in the midst of the family problems or how serious they were maybe he has been dealing with this matter for sometime and his family came first over football, where i will place blame is on the club for not having an adequate fitness test for the lad before he signed.
Something doesn't seem right this season. I'm always positive at the games, however I don't have a good feel at the moment and I feel it's all about the money and control. Why Harry Kewell? Why DD last year? Get the feeling the owners wouldn't employ a strong manager who would pick his own players. HK will be a cheap option (not like he needs the money) and they will be able to control him via Selim and from Turkey. HK wasn't exactly known for being a strong character from his playing days. The new signings were done very early before the new manager came in and there doesn't seem to be a plan. All the nonsense about big signings coming is treating us fans as mugs. Que a couple of cheap loans before first game.

Harry is a puppet on a string? This has been raised before and is a niggling concern for me. Owners meddling with the pitch side of things always spells disaster.

Give the guy a chance... Hes adapting to moving country, playing in a different league, family issues at home and now, an injury! Collins was poor for the first two months of last season and he was used to League 2. Can't begin to judge Thomas until he's played at least 10 league games.
