Is it that great? Yes we find somewhere but if we become too reliant on plastic given virtually all competitive games arent played on plastic we end up training for large part of the game we wont play i.e. bounce of the ball is all vety different howver 9th 10th generation the plastic is.

how many clubs at our level have grass training grounds that can be used season long, while our pitch is shared with Brighton ladies is it not fair to assume it could be used by the club for training when conditions allow. Our pitch is widely regarded as one of the best in the division when seeing some of the pitches on the highlights I assume they are either heavily shared or regularly trained on.
As I live in Horsham this morning I popped down to the new Horsham ground to get tickets for our friendly on the 20th. Wow what a smart setup they have there. I asked the lady who was selling the tickets if I could have a mooch around the ground which she said I could. Whilst walking around I bumped into GC who was setting up the cones etc for todays training. I had a brief chat with him and he was extremely happy with Horsham's facilities. PS For those of you that can remember the old Gorings Mead ground I can report that the bar is a quite spacious and seemed well stocked

No parking at the ground matchdays, there are a few disabled bays that need to be booked in advance.
You can however park at the Hop Oast park & ride (near the Horsham tip) on match days, you may have to pay as I haven't used it. The walk is about 5 or 10 minutes to the ground. www.horshamfc.co.uk/how-to-find-us/

Gorings Mead was/is Horsham YMCA’s ground, though Horsham did groundshare there for a while.
As for the lack of parking it just goes to show what an ameteur set up its obvious a place like that needs plenty of free parking. If they think non league fans will park and ride they really are deluded.
I'm not JB (well I am sort off) but wasn't it Queen Street?
I once purchased a history of Horsham YMCA and in it I found out the field next to their ground was named 'Sally's bottom'. Now that would have been a great name for a ground.

Maybe the Council refused permission for a car park on environmental grounds? don't be so quick to ridicule and demean others when you don't know the rules they're having to work to
