Blunder by payne nearly let county in but apart from that payne playing outta kis skin. Yorworth constant holding getting away with most as are our play it about at back defence...if county closed us down we be in trouble. Their keeper couldve been handcuff had nothing to save...amazingly we still in game at 0-0
U do think we will go down. The striker situation is a joke. We have sold Collins and Harrold and signed a Dutchman who clearly isn't up to it. And now we are reliant on two 19 year old who haven't played 30 games For Harrow and Reich between them.
Roberts is an ok stop gap but we will not get 30 games from him because he is to I hurt prone.
Kewells selections and tactics are baffling. Why no Cox today we had nothing down the left today.
The Morris to Yowerth play it out fro. the back is also a disaster.
First half was OK, we competed, but didn't threaten.
Second half we give a silly goal with another mistake at the back and from then onwards we lost of shape and looked completely desperate.
The tactics were awful! Play out from back, no recognised midfielder for the last 15 minutes except smith with 5 attacking players on the pitch. It was schoolboy stuff, lump it up there and then Notts county won all the second balls as we had no midfield to speak of except Smith. Truly woeful showing. I can't remember us having a single shot on target all game.
What on earth Harry was trying to achieve with the players out there I don't know. We looked OK first half with Bulman, Smith and Payne in there. Then he goes and takes off Payne and Bulman and we completely lost our shape. We looked desperate and clueless.
Harry has got to learn that this playing out from the back doesn't work especially when you don't have midfielders showing for the ball. I thought after some good results against Swindon and Yeovil he was beginning to realise this. Instead we seem to be going backwards.
The fact that we didn't have a single effort on target says all you need to know really. At the other end one cracking save from Morris in the first half and when the inevitable mistake cane that was that.
Bizarre line up featuring Randall in a wide left role and Bulman the most advance of the midfield. Sadly as mentioned above we lacked any serious threat going forward.
Notts Co looked pretty ordinary but probably deserved the points.
I agree Simon, Notts County were pretty ordinary. They didn't have to be good to beat they just had to be organised and disciplined and they were and we weren't, hence why they won.
