Probably the worst press conference I have ever seen. Poor picture and sound quality and rubbish questions. And Feeney may as well have stayed at home as he made no contribution at all. The first 6 minutes were OK.
Agreed. After all the hype and the emails from the club promoting it via Facebook it was a bit of a joke really.
Especially when asked "how many new players will you need to sign" HK looked like a rabbit in the headlights and left Selim to answer. Made me wonder who is dealing with the signed/released side as HK has presumably never seen the current squad play (apart from DVDs maybe).
I really hate to be negative but I must admit that press conference didn't exactly fill me with optimism.
Harry gave the impression he hadn't really engaged with the task at hand at all, just giving very vague, bland, detail-less amswersto all the questions. Dissapointing from local journos as well who really should have pressed him on some of the more difficult questions surrounding this appointment.
More than happy to give him a good old go though. I hope we give the guy a chance to adjust if things don't get off to a flying start because there is obviously the potential there if he is truly committed to us.
Warren Feeney looks like a Russian hitman - hope he doesn't have any links to Donald Trump! Would have liked to have heard something from him particularly on player recruitment and style of football - something at least so he wasn't sat there like a lemon for 10 minutes
A dreadful press conference. Poor questions both HK and Selim looked nervous, and it seemed obvious that HK has not seen the team play or met the players although he has heard of Danny Bulman.
A lot of work has to be done in the close season. To get the best from the players HK will have to get to know them first.
I have to agree it was hard to watch. HK wasn't very articulae or convincing with his answers. I think we will be relying on Feeney to know what he is doing at this level.
The most disturbing part was his reaction to the question about signing players. I wasn't expecting names but react as he did was nothing short of saying I haven't got a clue. He couldn't even articulate what his goals were. All very strange.
That press conference was a hummilation for the football club.It was cringe worthy and actually made me physically uncomfortable. I'm staggered just how poor the whole thing was.Who the hell was that bland fella asking the questions ?My God he was useless totally underwhelming and clearly out of hes depth. We clearly are still so non league in every way aren't we.I wonder if Harry kewell has come into this with he's eyes wide open.
regrettably i must agree a very poor press conference Harry looked and sounded completely clueless Feeney clearly wanted to be elsewhere, the questions were very poor and the answers worse
lighting and sound where poor but on the upside it can only get better
I just hope Kewell is more passionate than some of the answers to what were in fairness, poor questions. He looked like a rabbit in the headlights at times and we still have no idea what Feeney knows about the division because he wasn't asked questions or answer any of HK's.
Agree with others that it sounds as if Selim is dealing with recruitment. Can anyone think of a time it's gone well for any club or manager when someone else other than the manager brings players in? We can all safely say that Bulman was a fans' signing as, let's face it, neither HK or Selim would have seen him play.
I wouldn't say I learned anything more about HK's way or playing, tactics etc after that. We all assumed he would be an attacking boss, as that was how he was as a player. It's a shame there were no further questions about the favoured tactics, methods etc.
Maybe a fans' forum in the next couple of weeks will get more out of HK and WF? Thoughts?
Honestly, I don't care about the poor quality of the press conference. I know plenty of excellent tradespeople who are lousy at marketing. It's the quality of the work that counts.

Disagree - it wasn't a football exercise... it WAS a marketing exercise - and I am a long-term fan who wanted it to be positive and uplifting...but gave up on it because I was cringing at how amateur, dull and uninspired it was... and lets not forget that one of the oft-repeated criticisms of DeeDee was his lack of passion and inability to motivate... we need to delete the footage and pretend it never happened... start again with a giant Australia Day barbie in the stadium car park..!
Harry sounded like a fish outta water. And yes sound quality did more damage than the supposed PR did good. Own goal.
Huge own goal - more ridick-kewell than Harry Kewell and everyone will tell you that Warren Feeney has a massive personality yet he didn't even remember to smile. PR is meant to be part of the skillset (compare and contrast with Steve Evans who always talks a good game) and the club look as though they couldn't run a bath... for gawds sake chaps couldn't you just have started at the appointed time? Simply bloody dreadful and if I was a Crawley Town player watching that I'd be wondering how any of those clowns managed to get appointed in the first place...!
