I wait with bated breath for the donkeys on this site who think Ziya Eren lines his pockets with cash from the club
I can't recall anyone ever suggesting it? You would need to be a bit of a donkey to believe anyone thinks that.
We must be members of a different CTFC forum then, in the past there have been loads of negative comments and accusations about Mr Eren, about his failure to invest in the club and about his taking money out after players have been sold, that's without the negative posts in general about him, if you don't recall seeing any of those then I'd suggest, from a humble donkey, that you must have the eyesight of a bat

I think the majority of people have come round to realising that Mr Eren has been a great owner for the club in a time where we could’ve slid back into non league after getting relegated to League 2 and the money from the HKP era drying up. Yes, they did kinda shoot themselves in the foot a bit saying they wanted to get us into the championship without a well thought out plan to do that, but after the last 2 years of covid uncertainty across the world I think fans realise we could’ve had it a lot worse!
We have an average attendance of 2,200 per game. The second lowest in the league!
Without Ziya Eren's cash (or someone similar) we are not a league club. Our entertainment is being provided by someone else's cash. I dont see many on here criticising the owner but we do have to be careful about what we say and what we wish for.
One of my biggest disappointments about following Crawley is the apathy from nearly all the people around the town to the club. You can point to many reasons but either the existing or any new owner has to somehow address this.

Agreed Jim, I don’t get it I really don’t. As soon we have a fixture like Norwich/Leeds suddenly everyone is a Crawley fan again!

I share the same dissapointments with Jim here about the attitude towards the club from people around the area. The amount of people I know who are from Crawley who support one of the big clubs (like Arsenal and Chelsea) and don't seem to care much about Crawley Town FC is pretty annoying, and I remember at the most recent fans forum talking about how can we get more people to come to our games instead of waiting at Crawley station to go and watch one of the huge clubs in London. Also think the club should look to branch out into nearby towns and villages such as Horley, Copthorne, Crawley Down and more as they're definitely areas we should look to try and target more (and maybe try and set up a strategic partnership with the non-league clubs around there)
But the news that the club have confirmed the discussions about it being sold is a major development and I'm 95% sure we will have new owners by the summer
Our crowds could and would increase if there was a bit more to offer the floating fans on and off the field, unfortunately that is a hard thing to if the owners don't invest and is a bit of a catch 22 situation.... Jim knows me very well and knows how long I have been a fan but even I must admit I have missed a couple of mid week games this season because of lack of enthusiasm and 5 of us didn't even make it out of the pub for the forest green game, first time in 40 years... We need more fan engagement and more excitement, hopefully a new owner will bring that..
Well it didn't seem to affect Accrington or Morecambe....
You just need to have a decent manager and a group of talented players who show high levels of commitment to do well in this division
Yep. And if you were Yems would you rather have a squad of 24/25 competing for places or a squad of 40 of which half will never get near the first team.

How many times have you posted this? And how many times have you refused to answer the question what we would have done without the one million for Watters if we had only signed proven performers and no development players?

Watters had already played in League 1 before we signed him so was hardly an unknown quantity.
Signing "development players" and then loaning them to the likes of East Grinstead is hardly going to help them.
Anyway why did we bother taking the player from QPR on loan. At our level loans are generally used to add to the quality of the squad. How do you think that adds to the player's development?
Yes he had played briefly in League 1 with no success and had tumbled down to the nether reaches of Conference south. He was utterly unproven and is exactly the kind of player we would miss out on by only signing fewer players with a track record. Nick Tsaroulla too also fits into that bracket. Alas none of these type of players get signed with a crystal ball attached to them. Some work out, many don’t - that’s normal in football
