Tseroula (spelling) is our Grelish, our oppenants can't cope with him The spirit seems to be back
Although Nick is a good dribbler and wins a lot of fouls he also goes down too easily at times IMO and a lot of refs won’t give these fouls.
Thing I've noticed with Tsaroulla is when the ball is switched to a big winger on his side how he just leans on the forward to stop him winning a clean header. It's very clever and, if you have a youngster who wants to play there, you should point it out.
Its not a foul as he gets into position very early and is strong enough to stand and lean a little.
As for going down easily. I think you are doing him a little disservice. He is a wriggler and is sometimes caught when off balance. If I were the ref I don't think I'd give them all as a foul but I don't see him as a player who goes down too easily.

Nichols is one I think does fall to the ground too easily at times
Went into Crawley after being asked to leave Redz at 5.30pm (they really don't want us in there) and had far too much to drink. Celebrating a decent win.
The subs at the end of the game really changed the dynamic. Without Nadesan to worry about Newport were able to push up on us and keep us boxed in our own half.
Whoever the new manager may be they will have to bite the bullet and recognise that Nichols and Telford don't fit into the same side at the same time. Distinct lack of pace and strength with them as a front two. It makes it easier for the opposition.

I think Tom Fellows coming off had more of an impact. Yesterday showed what he could do if you played him properly, as we was wasted at wing back during the last few weeks of the Betsy era
I did think Fellows played well and was (probably) the best player on the pitch but my point was with no pace up front Newport were able to play a very high line.
Now I do not know the reasons for the subs (Fellows and Nadersan may have knocks) but if Oteh had gone up top he's pace would have made Newport sit deeper or punished them chasing onto a ball behind them.
Hey ho. We won. No harm done but I hope Young (new manager)learns from that.

We’ve had a lot of talk about lucky generals on here recently. Luck gives you time, or takes it away. Assuming Lewis is not in the running for the top job it doesn’t matter either way in this instance I guess.

Yes team selection and formations played a part in Betsy’s downfall. Tsaroulla and Fellows are not defenders so expecting them to do their defensive duties at wing back was always a bad idea. I’d personally keep Nick and Fellows as wingers or wide midfielders, both are forward thinking players and want to get forward. I wouldn’t play Nick at wing back or full back unless it was the only option.

We just won a game with Nick playing left back in a flat back 4?

Still bleating on about luck 😂😂😂
Hi Redtiger, when are you going to grow some balls and apologise for repeatedly lying on this forum about me calling for John Yems to get the sack? I corrected you and yet you carried on lying? What kind of person does that? Time to man up and apologise

Hi Steve, did you not see Thad’s post on this? Not sure it’s me telling the porkies!

Problem is, we don't have many FBs at the club. Just a load of CBs and midfielders used as wing backs. Gallacher has been loaned out, so we don't really have a better option than Tsaroulla at LB. I guess Travis Johnson is our first choice RB, who else can play there? Mazeed? I don't like the idea of switching centre backs to full back. We need to be playing people in their proper positions.
Going off topic a bit, is Ransom injured? I thought he payed excellently in defence for us recently - where's he gone? And is Mazeed still injured? As usual, a stony silence from the club on the injury status of the players.

Ransom went off with an injury during the first half of the Stevenage game so I would assume he is still recovering from that. But yes, there are a few who seem to have disappeared, like Mazeed, Bremang, Jenks, and midfield poll vote winner Brandon Mason. Maybe some of them will get a run out against Villa tomorrow? It was also interesting to see Oteh back in favour after being totally airbrushed out before.

I did see it but I corrected him as he has me confused with someone else, and he pretty much seemed to accept that. I'm sure you saw that, but as an inveterate liar on this messageboard, you're now pretending you didn't. Your behaviour is genuinely incredibly shitty and I want an apology from you, otherwise I can assure you I'll be reminding you constantly on this board who you are
