Any update on the meeting or do Wagmi consider their “video” To be an update?
We will be updating fans with as much information as we can. It is however going to be a fine line between transparency from our side to keep you all updated and ensuring that the CTSA can form a good relationship with the club where they can trust us with information that we won't then make public.
The latest update with the meeting though is that we are currently trying to find a date to meet.
So back to the old problem then. Squad of around 35 players, many of whom play so irregularly that they are not ready when called on.
For example even with Morris out on loan we seem to have 4 other keepers?
Not really, because you’ve just assumed the B team has ended rather than finding out the actual facts. Let’s hope they are clarified soon either way
Well it's a fact that the Elite Pathway was closed down, it's a fact that the B Team Manager (Lewis Young) has left and it's a fact that the role of B Team Manager isn't mentioned on the club website.
Also the only reference to a B Team fixture on the club website was a hammering by Bracknell Town.
No doubt all marvellous news for those involved with the stiffs.
I think Steve exists on here simply to argue the toss with absolutely everyone.
I'd rather people took personal squabbles to private message, whether that be Steve or anyone else. It wears a bit thin after a while. I don't care who's right or wrong or might have swung their handbag too hard. I have enough resentments of my own without reading about other people's.

So it's not a fact that the B team has been closed down then? Which is the point I was making. It may well have been or may not have been, but good to find out the reality rather than always leaping to the worst conclusion

Steve, there were many things around Betsy that I agreed with you on and like you, I also thought many gave him an unfair wrap early on. However, I'm pretty sure if you were stuck in front of a mirror you would have an argument with yourself. You don't need to constantly jump to the defence of the club and actually, if you did vent your football frustrations every now and then who knows, it might make you feel better about all the other s*** that's going on in the world. This is a forum where everyone can have an opinion and when you don't agree with someone, try having a debate based on facts rather than criticising for someone having a different opinion.

lol and you've never been one to disagree with anyone on a messageboard right? But that's fine - having different opinions on Crawley (or any football stuff) is quite normal! Agree with the above messages on just concentrating on the issues and not making it personal

Can you cite an example where I have departed from a debate based on facts? I think the only time I don't do this is to take the mickey a little bit out of CrawleyAway57 because I genuinely think he posts stuff he doesn't believe in, just to wind people up. There's another guy on here who spread a lie about me calling for John Yems to be sacked so I'm not happy with him, understandably. Everyone else I enjoy reading, even if we have very different opinions so not sure what the fuss is. I tend to think the club gets a raw deal on online forums, not necessarily on this one which is more balanced but people don't wait to get clarifications beyond handing out the lashings. The latest very iffy story on the entire squad being up for sale just the latest example but there have been numerous others, ie. the story about Nick Tsaroulla being forced out of the club

There are always rumours and speculation about goings on at the club, about the players, manager, training ground etc. But it's very difficult to get clarification on things because the club are (still) so reticent to give out any information, and in the absence of this fans will have their own opinions on what's happening, and rumours will persist.
Try finding out about players missing from the first team squad for example. Are they injured, out of favour, about to be sold, out of form....? We never know. Even when we know a player is out injured, and it's common knowledge, the club never say anything about it - what the injury is, how long they will be out for.... Other clubs do, but CTFC always seems to operate behind a veil of secrecy - whoever the owners are.
Information on the B team? Playing squad, fixtures, results.... non-existent. What's going on with Nichols? Some waffly BS statement from the DoF that says nothing. From that we can surmise that nobody in the squad has been transfer listed, but there was nothing explaining Nichols absence beyond 'we've had offers for him". There's no reason why a player on the radar of other clubs should suddenly be frozen out, it seems something else is going on.
With no definite answer from the club, rumours and speculation are all we have. And this forum is a good place for all that. I don't see the need for some on here to continually shoot down people discussing rumours, and trying to guess what's actually going on. Waiting for clarification from the club? Life's too short.

I don’t disagree that the club must look at this forum sometimes and think they are in a no win situation with some fans but let’s be honest, if they are making decisions or getting offended by what’s posted on here then we have a much larger problem on our hands.
I appreciate we’re a smaller club where voices from supporters might be heard a little louder but they are running a business and doing what they think is best. All we can do is enjoy/hate the ride and whilst we’re paying customers for said business, we can do/say what we want.

I think the club should clarify what's going on with the B team soon if possible. As if they decide to discontinue it there is to be frank no point in having a few of the players listed in the squad. The chances of them getting a first team game are very minimal and it doesn't help their development just training every week.

RE injuries. If I was manager, I wouldn't want anyone knowing which players were injured/out of favour/not playing. You give the opposition a heads up and can take advantage.

Like I said, when a player is out for a number of weeks, it's not a secret that they won't be playing. So I don't see the harm in keeping the fanbase informed about how long someone might be out for, or when they are likely to be back in training.
Tobi Omole is out for the season - we never hear anything about how he is progressing. Dion Conroy is injured more often than not, but for all we hear from the club, he might just be on a very long holiday. I don't think the Sutton manager will gain anything for our Boxing Day clash if the club let us know that we could expect Conroy back in late February, for example, and Omole for pre-season.
