It’s Pantomime season. We had a corner near the end of the match where we managed to transport, I wanted to say pass, the ball back to our goalkeeper without a Sutton player touching the ball. Why keep hoofing the ball up to the smallest player on the pitch? A truly awful performance.
I think that was the worst 45 mins of professional football I have ever witnessed, followed by another 45mins of dire football, in my opinion not the manager s fault only that today around 20 footballers had a bad day, hopefully we will not see that again for a very long time, it surely can not get any worse....
I have to agree with most of the contributors today it was the most dire performance on par with the other Friday nights effort sorry lack of effort. People say its not the manager but its Etherington who sends them out with I hope a plan A but like Betsy he does not seem to have a plan B or if he has he cant communicate it to the team during the match. Also today he started with some of Betsy's duds and the performance only improved when he brought on the subs, we all know they are better players than what he started with so why not start with them. We have now had two under 18 / 21 academy managers and it shows they are not able or ready to step up to being L2 managers they rely on stats and are supported by our useless Director of Football who is by all accounts a stats nut. Even he was not at the game today to see the performance first hand so i expect he will form an opinion by looking at the stats. All that matters is how many times we get the ball in the back of the net and for that to happen we have to get near enough to shoot at the goal not like todays only real shot which ended in our goal.
Hard to believe we had 2500 in attendance of 2900. So many left with lots of time remaining. Its becoming a familiar sight and its depressing. Our support is dwindling and its easy to see why. Will Telford be here in February? He must be fed up chasing shaddows. No service.
Just watched the Etherington after match interview and he talks about the players not having the confidence to go out and give their all. Well if he speaks to the players before the game and at training like he come across from his interview then its no wonder they are not up for it. His interview came across giving all the wrong signs because he came across as lacking in confidence and embarrassment about how his team performed today. All he is doing is getting us into a relegation situation and not having the nous to get us out of it.

Etherington is outta his depth and today proved that.

Matty boy "teams in this league are different at set pieces" - clearly shows he was the wrong person. There's more: "players lack confidence, are fearful, nervous" - you Matty are doing f*** all about this. Then it gets worse he blames the fans "discerning shouts from the crowd and it affects them". Then George F adds to it all saying "we're in a relegation battle". I don't know who is the more depressed out there - players, manager or us long suffering fans.

I think it’s a thing this season for those watching on TV to ensure teams have contrasting strips (I.e. one dark, one light in colour)
Reminds me of the famous John Motson quote from 1970s TV commentary. John Motson said ........For those of you watching in black and white, Spurs are playing in yellow ...
Lol. The fans are hardly the ones “tearing the club apart”, get a grip. It was crap today. We get back into that form and we’re getting relegated. I don’t blame Etherington but he shouldn’t be here in the first place. Wagmi’s decisions to on pitch matters have been downright atrocious and baffling and that’s who everyone’s anger is directed towards. Etherington even hints at this in the post match interview!
Manager has 3 games = he shouldn’t be there
Honestly our fan base is a joke, doesn’t know the first thing about how to support a club, just me me me me, boo hoo boo hoo
