So you want Wagmi out, right? That’s the plan? Tell us how you are going to make that happen. Losing your rag on messageboards ain’t a plan by the way before you suggest or demonstrate that
in support of message boards I would say that message boards, good ole newspapers, social media and so on does have an impact and any club that ignores it does so at its peril.
I have to agree with most of the contributors today it was the most dire performance on par with the other Friday nights effort sorry lack of effort. People say its not the manager but its Etherington who sends them out with I hope a plan A but like Betsy he does not seem to have a plan B or if he has he cant communicate it to the team during the match. Also today he started with some of Betsy's duds and the performance only improved when he brought on the subs, we all know they are better players than what he started with so why not start with them. We have now had two under 18 / 21 academy managers and it shows they are not able or ready to step up to being L2 managers they rely on stats and are supported by our useless Director of Football who is by all accounts a stats nut. Even he was not at the game today to see the performance first hand so i expect he will form an opinion by looking at the stats. All that matters is how many times we get the ball in the back of the net and for that to happen we have to get near enough to shoot at the goal not like todays only real shot which ended in our goal.
Chris Galley was at the game yesterday, I sit very near the directors' box and saw him there

Oh dear, you haven't changed at all. So many presumptions and over reactions as usual.
No, I don't want Wagmi out. I would like them to learn from their mistakes, not keep repeating them. I would like them to employ someone who knows how to compete in L2, both at managerial level (they've already mucked that one up) and also at boardroom level. A DoF who knows what he's doing and can help our American owners run the club in a way that will allow us to grow and improve on the pitch as well as off it.
Currently we have a DoF who many suspect is picking the team instead of ME. A DoF who has frozen out Nichols from the squad even though he's fit, wants to play, ME wants to pick him, and two of our strikers are out injured.
I fear Galley will take charge of transfer activity this January rather than the manager. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect not. Not that ME will ever be allowed to say anything about it.
And when did me (or anyone) sharing their opinion on here suddenly become "losing their rag"? Something you're clearly an expert at as you do it so often. You get triggered far too easily Steve, and usually for no reason. Any slight criticism of the club and you go off on one. You probably look in the mirror and start an argument with your reflection.
Ok look, tho you don't like my posts (that's your right) I'm trying to be fair. Plenty others have suggested they want Wagmi gone but fair enough you don't, ok, reasonable clarification.
But your positive plan is to sack the DoF who's been here only for a few months and Wagmi appointed in response to earlier criticism that they didn't have enough English-based advisers involved in league football?
Again, how likely is that to happen? Genuinely ask yourself, how realistic is that as a plan? Does anyone outside the close confines of the club have the vaguest clue what Galley does day to day? How can we as fans judge that? We have a rough measurement of what manager do by their results but the DoF? The suspicion I'm afraid is that you are putting forward a demand that you know full well Wagmi won't agree to --- as a proxy for wanting to send the Americans packing.
Yes possibly my posts do reflect frustration - happy to accept that. It's not just frustration at our poor results tho I'm allowed that as much as anyone else on here, it's the unseemly sight of seeing so many people wanting to kick the club when it's (temporarily I hope) down. That puts the sour cherry on top of the crap cake.

If the above I've highlighted in bold happens then this could just compound the problems we already have. Maybe I'm the fussy one that wants decaf tea (seriously why cant we have some at the club?) and drinks it without milk and sugar, when there are plenty of folk that drink what's served up but its all about getting the right cocktail mix. How many times have companies tried to replicate Coca-cola or Lego bricks? I'm told (not that I drink it) Pepsi isn't too bad a substitute for Coca-cola, but even those that drink the original clearly have varied taste with the diet, sugar free, fizzy free, bubble free and every other version going. We haven't got the right combination of cocktail at the club. Unless you believe Telford is a one hit wonder, he needs to play off a target man not be that target man and so on. I do not for one minute believe Telford (as an example) is a bad player but needs the aforementioned. Its not rocket science. What I overheard were comments yesterday aimed at ME along the lines of why are we playing one upfront 2-0 down at home. Yes, you can only pick players available to you (whether dictated to you by DOF, injuries suspensions etc) BUT you ME decide the formation, approach, style of play and so on. How about you take some responsibility for that?
Personally I wouldn't be so worried about a director of football taking responsibility for transfers if they had a knack for spotting talent and have a good understanding of what it takes to build a successful team at our level. However, Chris Galley hasn't shown that and most of the decisions he's made during his time at the club so far have been very questionable
3 left backs played yesterday: Tsaroulla, Mazeed and Mason. Mazeed was clearly not happy at left midfield and it didn't help that someone in the West Stand was shouting out negative comments at him, not helpful at all. Someone else was shouting out at ME to swop Mazeed and Tsaroulla which IMHO would have made sense. When Mason came on it was at right back but I thought he did ok. Huge change when Balagizi came on - I can only assume he has been sick and wouldn't have lasted 90 mins. He drives forward from the midfield and makes Hess and Powell look pedestrian - both of them need to get a grip both metaphorically, and literally of the midfield. Hess sits way too deep and rarely looks forward and Powell is very hit and miss - no pun intended. In January we need a right back, 2 midfielders and a big striker.
Yesterday was an odd performance. It's difficult as there are injuries and illnesses (and the fact no one can talk about Nichols), and there is no continuity. Does anyone know what out best XI would be if we had a fully fit squad and the ability to play consecutive games with a settled starting XI. Because I'm not sure what it would be. Players have performed well one week then had a stinker the next. And because of the constant turnover of players we end up playing people out of position, and not being able to play to people's strengths.
There were some good signs, and prior to the first goal, there was some decent play down the left hand side with good link up, passing and movement between Mazeed, Tsaroulla, Powell, and at times Telford. Balagizi looked good driving forward when he came on, but he obviously isn't fully fit since his return from injury, he was limping yesterday, and his passing is more wayward since his return, and I think it would be better to get him fully fit before throwing him back in.
But, on the other side, there was some truly poor play. The Tsaroulla corner that was sliced the wrong way, with Powell passing it back to Balcombe, only for Balcombe to put it out for a throw, was probably the worst corner I've seen. Balcombe looked nervy, not just with the half dozen or so kicks that went straight out for a throw, or the panicked hoof out over the East Stand, but not going for a ball that bounces twice in the six yard box before the penalty (I don't care if TC called to leave it, just collect the ball in your space) is criminal, and then he had an easy catch from a corner and decided to punch, which begged the question why he didn't punch the earlier one. And has been mentioned here (and lots of previous match threads), for crying out loud, Dom Telford is half a foot shorter than the brick s#@&houses of defenders he is playing against, high hopeful balls up to him aren't ever going to work. He's decent when the ball is played to feet, but he isn't going to win headers is he.
And it's frustrating as they can do it, but there is no consistency (well, apart from the inconsistency).

Yes, that corner: he would have saved a lot of time had he just kicked it straight back to Balcombe - even more if he'd aimed for Balcombe village.
I thought he handled it honestly. Lets give this guy a chance rather than try to be like Watford and get a new gaffer to match the weather
But it's not the fans changing manager every 5 minutes (we have no say in anything) it's Wagmi. And they've appointed a clueless yes-man as both DoF and acting CEO. We're only heading one way under Galley - down. I hope you had an enjoyable Boxing Day mate, you definitely made the right decision.

No but it’s the fans wanting another manager out…
If by fans you mean the social media numpties, don't worry about them. They want every manager out. Wagmi won't pay any attention to them. I haven't heard fans at the Broadfield calling for ME to go. Tbh against Sutton the Bruce Winfield Stand was silent. Why does that guy bring a drum every week? Is it for a kid to stand on?
