First thing SL just said to back up what I said in my last post in his after match interview “we were too nice”.
abso bloody lately .
He must be fuming
He's the ruddy manager. Does he take no responsibility for today? I'm guessing he picked the team, chose the formation, told them the tactics he wanted them to play, made the substitutions, gave the half time team talk? Sort it out Lindsey ffs.
Thats all folks. Thats it. That really is it. Almost drew with a boring average team. Highly unlikely be dragged into relegation but a pipe dream of play offs. Defence exposed all over the place and not much to offer in attack. 2-1 defeat.
Olagunju & Jeremy Kelly MUST BOTH START next match, do not pass, go do not collect 200. Nothing to lose, cus this team aint making the Play-Offs. Its the only slim chance we have! We need that Plan B Scott that you have never used yet!
As pissed off about the performance in his interview as I wanted him to be.
He basically promised to make them “work” on the training pitch next week which I believe is coded language for making them pay for that gutless performance which he described as lacking professionalism and aggression.
I honestly think he tries bloody hard to drum those ideals in to them but the players sometimes swan in to matches like they’re Real Madrid and results will just happen.
Not good enough for this league (another line he just uttered too as well)
He is right and also it is his responsibility to sort out as you say (Northgate Red) but I can’t understand why the players dont respond as they should.
They need to take massively more personal responsibility on the pitch and bloody wake up and switch on
Scott rightly said seemed no desire at times, and no point passing around if possession comes to nothing. Also said we did not dominate or cause them problems like we should have done. Was unhappy with performance too.
So why didn't he make changes at right time? He took off Forster who was causing problems and only made the last sub at 90 minutes! Does he know he can make more than 2 subs? Why didn't he bring on Darcy and Adeyemo? Their manager is inexperienced, but used all his subs and made a difference and won the game.
I have written this before. We are to slow in going forward giving the opposition every opportunity to organise their defence. When Morcambe broke forward they did with pace. First half I was surprised with Corey kicking it long but second half back to normal pissing around at the back. Second half it was obvious who was going to win.
Lindsey screams at Addai to get the ball forward quicker then we watch endless tippy tappy football in our half while Morecambe get ten men behind the ball and he says nothing, fast beginning to think Lindsey has reached the limit of his coaching and tactics abilities.
A bit disappointed to get nothing from that because, although we didn't do a great deal, I thought we did a little more than the opposition. I question whether either side really deserved to win that one.
You're so polite. We were fucking dreadful. No clue at all. 2-1 down, 5 added minutes, and all we wanted to do was pass it around amongst ourselves in midfield. It was beyond excruciating. I've seen more attacking threat in a pigeon.
Such a dull game to watch from a Crawley perspective First 15 minutes saw my mom Cory revert to type and try to gift opposition goals with ridiculous passes before saving us time and time again. It was so so dull to watch- as Northgate mentions at one stage we passed it from Connor in our box left and right and right and left and 45 seconds later back to Conroy in our box not making inroads into their half! No plan B - yawn. Scott can't blame team unless he shows he knows how to change things when needed, I did have one moment of laughter when somebody near me said Maguire would need oxygen when he once ventured outside of their box. Also great to see our ex great player Edwards still causing mayhem but all in all i should have watched the rugby,
