I hope Preston realises before long that he is going to have to pay a little more than he wanted to and spend some of the sales proceeds and the £800,000 extra he said was set aside for the playing budget, and BUY SOME PLAYERS!
But Preston do not wait too long, Scott needs some players THIS WEEK so he has some players for the Lewes Friendly. We need at least TEN players (mostly experienced at this level) in the next 2-3 weeks so Scott has time to coach them before the season just over a month away. A squad of 16 is not enough!

if we dont get the players I can see us going cap in hand to any club picking up their rejects and loan players that somehow we need a deal where the host club pays a large part of their wages.
Good to see we have finally signed a couple of players today, both with EFL experience albeit at League 2 level. Clear Scott has mentioned to Wagmi that he needs some experienced older players for League 1 as well as promising youngsters, as both these players and Malone would have failed the old rule of 28 is too old.
Let's hope we sign a few more players before the Lewes game. Particularly hoping for an experienced keeper and two experienced strikers (although appreciate these are hardest to get, and must get these ones right)
Few on the Fishes forum suggesting we are trying to sign another player from them. Our stats man must have been impressed with their team.
I think we need as a minimum:
A goal keeper, two strikers, an athletic creative central midfielder to replace Kelly, a creative number 10 and right wing back or defender who can go forward.
Probably need cover at left back for as well.
We have to remember Roles D'Arcy and Adeyemo were essentially subs in the run in none were starters inthe big games so it's unlikely they will take on that role and excel in League 1

Got the right winger in on loan today (Gonzalez) I agree with your comments, but feel need a left winger as only got Kelly and Forster on that side (plus Mukena/Malone as LCB)
I calculate that we have had 17 out so far (including Maguire and Gordon) and 8 in so we are 9 down at the moment with 19 players. Then again, we have no reserve team and no youth team can survive on a much smaller squad than other teams.
Rumours are that we’re due another Grimsby signing. Donovan Wilson
Makes sense, we apparently came close to signing him in January.
According to Grimsby Fans Forum The Fishy, he was the only one not at training so a move someone may be on. Also felt by some, manager feels should move on as nearly did in January. Scoring record not that high, but feeling could do well if team plays to his strengths and get better service. Quiet a few would be sorry to see him go.
