I heard that Charlton are interested in him. Maybe they offered him more than we did? He fell out of favour with SL, which I really didn't understand. Absolutely gutted he's leaving.

A great pity about Nick T leaving, but not a huge surprise that he has attracted interest from elsewhere - presumably a club who can pay him more. However, he owes us nothing.
Not the best preparation for L1 to lose 2 defenders already from the squad from last season.
Our defence in particular will be tested the most in L1 as the standard of forwards coming at us will be a good deal higher.
Shit needs to be got together to plug the holes asap but no one will be more aware of that than SL.
I make it we have lost 5 defenders if you include Nick:
Johnson, Maguire, Omole, Ransom and Tsaroulla. Would not be surprised if Gordon went too which would make 6. Hopefully Wright will stay, but we seriously need to sign some defenders before pre-season!I
At the moment we have just 3 defenders: Conroy, Mukena and Williams.
So by my calculations, that means we have 15 players under contract, with 4 more in negotiations:
Campbell Wright Gordon Gladwin
Agreed which means we need to sign at least 7 or 8 new players including at least 3 defenders, a left winger, strong central midfielder (to cover for Gladwin), a big striker and probably another more experienced keeper.
Williams is really a holding midfield . I think we need ten decent players to have a chance assuming we don't lose anymore.
For me it's premier league loans and overseas players we should be looking at. I just don't think we can afford the necessary quality players domestically . The fact two of our better players have elected to sign for league two clubs rather than pay league one says a lot about our ability to compete financially . I doubt we will have more than 30 percent increase on ast years 1.5m budget which is peanuts at thsi level. Scott will really have to preform magic to keep us up imo. Always a chance though.
Also just read Bolton, Chesterfield, Oxford & Charlton are also interested in Benji Magee. So Basically Half the Football League want him. We must be a 66/1 shot to land him. But would make a Good Statement for our Club if we got him! All this interest for a Part-Timer Wow!
