on a more serious note it is a shame a potential new manager wasn't spotted but it is still early days
Harsh but fair...
I was genuinely quite excited to see who was upstairs last night on my way there. Slightly disappointed that there wasn't anyone obvious.
Yes it would have been nice like you say to see or even hear of a potential new manager being upstairs, i personally think the club have the short list and will take enough time to weigh up the best option so could be another week or 2 before we see a new manager in the dugout
club have no mention of interviewing anyone doubt theyve even drawn up a short list.
And you seriously think that CTFC are going to give out information? they struggle to admit to which day of the week it is so they're not likely to discuss the managers vacancy
If they haven't drawn up a shortlist by now then they are totally incompetent, that process should have started the moment Notts County asked for permission to talk to Kewell
They should’ve drawn a shortlist up the moment they hired him cause he was always destined to leave or be sacked before his contract was up

I love this wikipedia fun, we've had a Casiraghi/Cioffi pairing, a Waddock/Rowe pairing and today we've got Cioffi on his own, I can't wait for the next instalment, could it be Gaygusuz/Derham or Marks/Spencer?

these foreigners rarely come up trumps at lower league level massive massive risk why would our owners make repeated mistakes? Why not approach Paul Raynor?

I see the West Sussex County Times claim that Gabriele Cioffi "... was spotted in the director's box watching Crawley beat Tottenham Hotspur U21s ...", are you admitting to not concentrating on the 'upstairs' sufficiently or are the WSCT stretching the imagination a little?
Ironically none of the names in the poll are anywhere near the top of the betting stakes now.
i didn't have as many dart boards as the bookies Alex
Certainly not a criticism of you Sulton! Shows that the bookies don't really have a clue and are just recycling the names of out of work managers in the lower divisions.

Dont worry Alex i know it wasn't a dig just an observation - i'm not sure anyone could have guessed the 2 front runners though
on the bit about the bookies i did exactly what they did
Selim wants somebody "the players really like", which is a worry, respect maybe, possibly fear a bit but who gives a toss whether they like him or not? Also suggests he wants somebody who "respects" the club, but if it is Cioffi/Casiraghi do they even know anything of us or our level of football. Also it now seems to be back to being Head Coach in the article. Would really like somebody with the full brief of manager who can interact not only within the club but also more widely locally to sell the club. You could say that isn't their role but we need a figurehead to represent us and as Selim is all but invisible would these candidates be willing/able or will they be as remote as Kewell. Then again it might all be nonsense and we are actually going to appoint a proper lower/Non league manager who understands that we need to build relationships locally rather than impressing the wider world of football (Sky)? Lets live in hope!
