Frankly this is a far more serious issue than repetitive discussions on what anyone thinks of John Yems’ personality. We must all pitch in to crack down on this abuse nonsense ASAP, it’s totally unacceptable
It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of this was from the group in the terrace to the west side of the goal, that area has had quite a few incidents of bad behavior in the past. Someone told me after the match that the person stood next to him shouted 'f***ing useless' all the time, and that by the end other fans started to get irritated

I agree, when this type of behaviour happens it puts me off inviting my friends to the games, which is a real shame
I was standing near someone who shouted "F¥£#ing useless" a few times and to be fair to him I agreed with him on a couple of occasions.
I dont think someone on the terrace berating the players is what is meant by "abuse of staff". I dont know what this is about but mouthing off at someone trying to do their job is not great but....I'm pretty sure we've all lost their temper with a jobsworth from time to time...not explaining what you mean leaves this open to interpretation.
I remember a few months ago there was a big hoo-ha about people getting banned and some were throwing a strop on social media about it.
Unfortunately there's quite a few wannabe hooligans around who appear to only come to throw abuse at people rather than watch the football and if they are not allowed back I'd say good riddance. Reading the statement it specifically stated that it was matchday staff that got abused physically and verbally which is terrible especially as most of them are volunteers just trying to do their bit to help out
Yes sadly there is a feral element in football - and probably reflective on society - that have no respect for rules, authority, opposition or pretty much anyone. And anyone who doesn’t like their behaviour is just old and boring, because apparently it’s alright for them to behave like they do because they’re young and just enjoying themselves. And that too is reflective upon society as it’s so typical of the all or nothing, black or white attitude bred on social media
It was only my third game this season and it was good to see some old faces that I hadn't seen for an age.
I must say that, I thought the final third lacked a cutting edge, maybe with a fear to shoot at goal? - If you don't shoot, you won't score. The pristine, mud free kit of the Hartlepool 'keeper will testify that. We didn't work him. Simple.
One incident that I had never seen before at The Broadfield Stadium, was the coin throwing at the visiting goalkeeper. What's going on?

Sitting in the West Stand Yems definitely screamed at someone on the far side where Ferry was playing to buck their ideas up followed a while later shouting at Tony Craig (Captain) tell Will to sort he's self out.

Yems is he one that needs to sort himself out its not the way a manager should conduct himself.
As Yems has got history for this he could be hit with a big fine and ban.
Another point is that once you have the reputation for being abusive (if he was) anything you say or do we be seen in that light.
One final point. We have the club issuing statements regarding abuse of staff but a member of the club is (possibly) abusing another companies members of staff...but that's OK cos he's a ref and needs to get used to it.
The refereeing standard is poor and that foul on Payne was definitely a red. Maybe it’s time for another official to support the referee or lower league VAR rollout? Poor decisions regularly by officials will cost clubs dearly.

Also agree with everything you have said Jim. John’s interviews have definitely pushed him into that reputation somewhat.
